Hi everyone,
I just published my Hub today but I can't find it in any search engine including hub search, did I do something wrong or does it take time to get into search?
Thanks,
Elizabeth
Hi Elizabeth, how did you find your link to your hub? I thought I had it and went to send it to my friend and the one I was sending led right into my account and the editing part and everything, how do I just find the link to send out?
It can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours for a hub to get indexed.
I'd recommend that you put it in the Extreme Hub Makeover forum to get some feedback - it's quite long and the pictures may stop people scrolling down. There are a few other things you could change as well, although it's a very good start.
Any page, even on a powerful site like HubPages, is going to take a little while to index, especially in the search engines. I'd say if it's longer than 48 hours, then contact the HubPages administers, because any article should be indexed by then.
The admin having nothing to do with it! Not all pages get indexed. There are billions of pages on the internet and only a small percent are indexed by Google. Pages that are extremely low quality or are in very saturated topics may not be indexed. Pages can also be indexed and then de-indexed depending on traffic and content.
Hubpages has no influence over that - they just provide a platform to write, not a promise that it will be read.
If a hub hasn't been indexed after a few days you can easily ping or tweet it (with hash tags) and it will get indexed pretty fast.
I'll go and check today and wait another day. Wry how do I get to extreme hub makeover? Google ads ad sense accepted me and has put ads on my page, dont know if that means anything...ok guys thatnx and Ill keep checking.
Did you link your Adsense account here? https://hubpages.com/my/earnings/affiliate/
If not, the adverts that are showing give 100% of earnings to Hubpages.
Here is the link to Extreme Hub Makeover. I recommend you read the post on top, a few instructions from staff.

Thanks for the help I checked and I have been indexed, I will also be doing the extreme makeover thing just to keep it nice...Thanks all!

Hi Delaney,
I had to wait 24 hours after I published my page but then found it listed automatically also I typed in some keywords into search and it came up.If you want to send people your link to your page you can also preview your page and right click on the address bar , copy it then send it.

We have added a feature to the Search tab under the stats box on each Hub that enables you to see when that Hub that has last been crawled by search engines. When an Idle Hub is crawled, search engines will see that it has a noindex tag, which indicates to search engines that the page should not...

I love HubPages, I feel that I have learned so much here and my confidence in writing non-fiction took such a huge leap when I was invited onto the Apprenticeship program last year. I have met some wonderful people here - both staff and other Hubbers. But as may other people have said, the idling...

Topic: Why don't titles show up in Google???For example, here's a good title, posted on Oct. 5; "Why American Kids Can't Do Math"Not found in Google. Why not? Many of my articles, on other sites, appear next day or in a few days. I'm not in a hurry. But hubpages places a lot of...

The Googlebot visits new hubs within 30-60 minutes while they are in 'Pending' mode and the NOINDEX tag is in place for 24 Hours. This means that the bot does not index the page, and does not return for days or weeks. New pages do not get indexed for days or weeks. This causes lost traffic and lost...
