HubPages and Fellow Hubbers,
Anybody else get hit by a rash of invalid clicks today or recently? Like, 10-30 clicks on one hub on the same day, from a single visitor from India...where the visitor found the hub from a topic page on HubPages, rather than the search engine? Or am I the only unlucky one...?
(That's one sign of fraudulent click activity, for those who don't know...the visitor doesn't originate from a keyword search via the search engines, but from a browsing page, and clicks multiple times on AdSense ads. If it catches the activity, AdSense will boot the recipient and the clicker both for life. Not fun.)
No contact from Google. In this case, AdSense reports and Google Analytics show what's happening.
I've not had that, but have you taken pro-active measures like contacting Google to say you are aware of the invalid click activity and asking them to not pay you, as you want no part in this obvious fraud attempt?
It might be in your interests to do so.
Yes, Izzym, definitely.
So...anyone? Nobody else had an overenthusiastic clicker yesterday?
