Hi, I just started writing for HubPages and wondered, do you have to have your own website in order to do this? And if so, does anyone have recommendations on which ones to consider? Thanks!
No, you don't have to have your own website to write here. Many people do have separate websites though, including myself.
One advantage of having a separate site is that it allows you to link from HP to your site or the other way around..
Essentially Hub Pages provides you with your own site by giving you a sub domain (http://jenvanbaren.hubpages.com/), although you don't have complete control over it so its debatable.
Thank you for your answer. My other question then is this, to sign up for adsense, google, etc, I would put in this sub domain name?

I am working on one of my new websites - and I want to link back to my hubs here. How many times is this OK to do on a website page before it is overkill?
