I just received the following email from Hub Pages:

After 3 years on the Politics & Social Issues Forum, I'm thinking whip.

I have less than a month before I hit my 3 yr anniversary! I wanna get me a whip too! I think my little monkey with a whip would be cute.

Mighty Mom, I'm glad not everyone thinks like you. I'm also glad that not everyone thinks like me. It would be a very boring Hubpages if everyone here thought exactly the same as either one of us.

My fourth anniversary is coming up. Apparently, I should go out and get myself either "fruit and flowers", a linen table cloth (for some reason), or else (I guess) a kitchen appliance (for the modern person who buys himself a gift). (I think I'll instead buy myself a new leather wallet, send it to myself with a "sorry I missed your third anniversary card", and let that be it. I have fruit and flowers on a regular basis, but I do need a new wallet.
