I work in retail. Does anyone else find it extremely rude to be chatting away on your cellphone while you are trying to help them when they need it or is it just me?

Rude no doubt, but hey you are their to serve them or its all about them. I used hate when the
car parts guy, would serve customers on the phone
and leave people standing in line with ready cash.

While you are trying to help them, yes. But I don't mind so much when they don't need help and are chatting on their cell. Those hands free phone sets that look like mp3 player earbuds...those always get me. I find those more annoying that someone chatting on their phone when you are trying to help them. lol

All good points...I just find it highly annoying when you are trying to help them or wait on them and they can't hear a word youre saying or just plain ignoring you because they are too busy on their phone.

Everyone's different. Someone like me, I'd just finish whatever I was doing to help them and move on to the next customer! big_smile I have a life lol and they can keep chatting on the phone, it's not going to affect my life in any way...you get how i'm thinking?
