      This is a good site

      http://www.freedigitalphotos.net/

      so is http://sxc.hu

If you do use Google images and Flickr you have to make sure they are free for you to use.

Uninvited Writer--that's what I've been having troube finding out. Google Images and flickr both will say that the photo "may be copyrighted," but how do you know? I will try your sites. Thanks so much! I don't want to do anything wrong!

In Google images you go into Advanced Image Search and can filter them according to the use allowed.  For Flickr you should use the Creative Commons to find pictures you can use.

I like Photobucket and Flickr and Google -- if you search for the object with the word photos after it you get a bunch of ideas - some of the sites are protected and have watermarks so be careful.

We have a great Learning Center Hub on legally using images.  I recommend the following sites for images:

    http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page
    http://creativecommons.org
    http://morguefile.com/

Just be sure that you properly attribute them.  The Learning Center guide will help you with that.  Cheers!
