because I leave for just a small vacation and come back to 16 broken links!  so, any of you administrators or admin types have any idea how that happened?  one or two now and then, I could see - but 16 in a week?  someone either gets very busy or, someone likes to mess around with the hubsters - just sayin:

wonder who loves to break links?

I tried to look through a few of your hubs but couldn't find any broken links.

What kind of links are you talking about?  If you are linking to other peoples hubs, it's possible that the author might have decided to unpublish the hub or it may have been removed for some other reason and the link becomes a broken link. YouTube videos sometimes get removed for copyright violations and if you have any of those in a video capsule, it becomes a broken link.

There has been an old issue where URL's typed with the "http://" got messed up. But HP had fixed that a while back.

Does that help?  Did I miss anything? If non of these match your situation, let me know what types of links you are referring to. But don't post the link or the hub here as it will get moderated. Just mention the type of link and I'll try to comment about it.

    Wow 16 links!
Link usually break when someone removes or moves their article but I don't think 16 people would have moved their articles did your try clicking on all these links?

It sounds like a glitch or bug.

Fortunately, the little black exclamation mark can be clicked on and joyously it proclaims the link or url that is bad, in error, or just missing.  Therefore, at last I have completed the horrific task of going to all those errors and fixing them.

and fortunately - almost nobody can see the broken links, or missing urls, or errors other than me = and I have done with them.  They are wonderfully done.

While I whiled awayst me few hours at this today I made a couple wee changes to the bratty hubs that were so badly in error.  or was it only an hour she took? way!

Therefore, I am proud o' meself, hubbers, and you too can accomplish such worrisome tasks in good order = tanks to the wee staffers and leprychauns who are improving this site just so we'll tag along enjoying ourselefs.

peace you lubbers, and until we meet again -  whatever, forever!!
