Okay, I want to make 100% sure that I can qualify for the contest in November and I have a LOT of questions about photo usage. I know a number of photographers who list their photos on Flickr as "not for commercial" use. Normally, these photos would be off limits to hubbers, but I have been privately granted rights to use (with express permission) to use these photos in my hubs.
What do I do? How do I cite these and NOT be disqualified?
I believe that as long as you specifically say what type of permission you have for the photos, and can back that up if needed, you shouldn't have an issue.
You could try putting a message like "With special thanks to --- for extended usage rights" or "Special permission from ---" or could simply write a paragraph at the bottom of the hub about your rights to use the particular photos, if you want to put something longer.

I'm pretty new to HubPages (joined 6 weeks ago but got "busy" about 2 weeks ago posting Hubs) -- I got spanked last week and had a hub taken down temporarily for citing direct links to the particular...

HubPages is very firm in their rule to only use photos for which you have permission to use. Hypothetically, what happens if you break this rule? I've seen many people using images that are clearly not theirs to use and...
