My avatar changes to some unknown female face when I post a link to my hubs on face book. Could it be because my avatar is art work rather than a photo?
I doubt it. Your post is the second one that has mentioned avatar peculiarities today.
Do you mean your FB pic? Or the image posted with your hub? It's generally the first image from the hub.
As you can see I have a Native American symbol that I created. I posted my profile link on FB because someone was looking for craft articles. The avatar changed to a much younger female face in the post.
