Just curious .. some topics such as recipes, usually pull in fairly poor low paying quality adsense adverts yet can be popular ... As hubpages ads is paid per view, does this matter anymore?
I'd guess that there's bidding on views as well as clicks. One bid is a $1.50 per 1000 views. If a second bid comes along at $2.00 per 1000 views, etc. I was going to say the amounts were based on topics and say yes it matters. But after thinking about it, I see totally off-topic ads all the time, so my guess is that the theory that it doesn't matter may have merit.
It will all depend on the ratio of on-topic to off-topic ads.
