Once you have been here for at least a month on up, you can partake. What is "Your" very best advice, most sincere, from what you have seen here, only one answer , you would most definitely be sure and give to a new Hubber?
An interesting question you pose. You can be anyone on the Net, and you can be yourself here on HP. You can do it by making your identity real, or you can do it by assuming a false identity. Whichever, you do have a voice here. The interesting thing is that you will eventually be found out...whether you are real or just playing.
Be a friend in the community. Don't be so easily provoked that you have to identify enemies here. It's a waste of time. We're learning that when we lose a member of the community (as we have recently) the grief is surprisingly overwhelming.
And write with passion, about whatever makes you want to write.
And listen to Greek One. He's the bee's knees, even if he is a petrified statue.
"The phrase bee's knees seems to have evolved in 1920s America, along with 'the cat's pyjamas'. Other seemingly arbitrary terms of distinction from that era that have since died out include 'the snake's hips', 'the kipper's knickers' and 'the sardine's whiskers'."
Back in high school, ironically enough, I dated a woman who due to her poor hygienic practices, was known as "the kipper's knickers"
This is awesome , because that that magical word you used "Passion"
This is what bought me to this place ,I did not need a talk shop , wanted to be passionately moved as I move on. But it's sad when some one who was an asset in his way leaves. This is still the best I have seen so far , and as you say it needs to be protected.
You don't have to spend any time at all identifying your enemies around here. They just walk right up to you and identify themselves on your first day in town.
Write about something you are passionate about. It will show in your writing and people will want to read it.
Where ever I hear that word used . Passionate, has to be meaningful . thanks.
That advice can't be topped.
If you do that - write about things you truly love, then the only other thing you need to learn is basic on page search engine optimization, which is really pretty dang simple.
Hello Shy..I would say that honesty and sincerity is the key, but even more than that is avoiding judgemental remarks. We do not all look at life the same, respect for other's beliefs are important.. Have a great day...
That part I will pass on to those that are asking me , because it's a quagmire of personalities and I have encountered and crazy , believe it or not, got stalked for a few days , I equal to the task . thanks .
A little journalism might not hurt, if you want to write.
Journalism, break it down WD. for there is the journey that you take for yourself through life , and believe strongly in what you do , Stephanie Mills comes to mind.
And there is the journey society will put you in if you don't stand up for your self. And don't forget if you are weak, Bob said: Many people will fight you down when you see Jah/God' light. So this is the Exodus , movement of God's people , cannot be stopped.
Would you say the life of Bob Marley was a form of journalism?
I am now going to look for "Rookery Spooner" I need his journals.
No Rookery Spooner . . . he evaporated. Bob is a journalist . . . "Babylon by Bus". Stephanie Mills? I have her CD's and an album. Smoooth!
How about SeaTrain? http://youtu.be/NnJNT_xzDMA
I get pleasure in saying to you that I know exactly who you are and and my small role , because I know who I am, you will say to me I got it.
Love that sone I saved in on paper . It's amazing how life as we know it has also evaporated with the introduction of the computer . You should write a hub about you and your computer . I have many ideas.
bless bro. Thanks.
It is sitting on the back burner as we speak. I will request a hub from you, "My Boyhood on the Island of Granada".
OK then do you need a drum roll....Just finished speaking to my mother , at 91 it's such a pleasure , her doctor in NY , ever so often he goes to these conferences in my birthplace. My mom went for her final check up today and seeing that he is leaving soon to Grenada, he asked her what would she like him to bring back. This is amazing , my mom has these corns , maybe bunions to you, lol he is the one who recommends these things for her. She told him to bring back some Iodine, the real ones the send to the islands.
You catch my drift. Now 91 year olds say the darnedest things.
Be a great son.
I would say be real, be who are. Many people may not like who you are but then they are not you.
And as Greek One said, study science in school..lol
There it is Cardisa , be real, be who you are , stay on your mission, they are not you, and not on your mission. Great words. I have two friends ladies and lets face it the daughters take a little longer. It appears friendly ,but one must trod carefully. That's one of the reasons I asked how many peaple are on HP all together . Because at my age I already know that you put whatever will amount to too many human beings together , the results are usually not pretty. Starting with ny big family.
Most important is to remember that although this is a great dating site, from time to time, people want to talk about writing and 'hubs' (whatever that is).
I find the best way to get these folks back on track is to simply ask what they are currently wearing, and if they like foreplay.
Be yourself, ask questions, answer other people's hubs, create forum questions, and write to your heart's content.
I know you will somehow get it all correct . I must tell you rliha, that picture gets me every time , I see you as this beautiful little girl . It helps , make me think deeper before answering.
Give thanks .
Hi Sky. This is just advice because this is what I do . Thanks for the picture comments. I should probably change my picture LOL .
Ignore any type of internal "score" including hub karma, hubscore and author score. They have nothing to do with making money.
I agree with that, but I would add that the money is another number that you should try not to worry about too much at first. And your page views, which is the one I was mostly obsessed with. It is normal for your page views to surge when you first post a hub and then drop down. Just keep adding new ones, and in time the old ones may come back to life.
To be sincere and non judgmental is my advice.
It is possible to join as whoever you want to be but if you are going to be a member for a long time this will eventually come to a dead end.
Do not be non judgemental is important; not everyone thinks or lives their lives like we do.
I am here to share and also to learn from others.
That I have to say is along the road to prosperity on here because we need to have everyone be themselves in the peace and harmony that this forum promises. Don't go where you don't need to and you will never get hurt going there.
But the beauty of life is to share your life in the best way you know how.
If I be yee, then who be me?
Write content about subjects you like, do your keyword research and don't worry about the numbers that are displayed. Partake in the forums as much as you like but try to avoid the arguments and flame wars that go on, a good debate is fine but mindless circular arguments plague the forums.
Good content, meeting and talking to people and keyword research will get you a good following and maybe even make you a few dollars.
Just write about the things that interest you, that you care about. And make sure you don't write too much in one capsule! When I started, all my hubs were in one capsule, and it took long to fix it. When they are formatted like that, you can't easily add a picture, links, or Amazon. You don't have any space to do it. I have been given both good and bad advice in the forums, but everyone is pretty nice and truly tries to help. It really is a community.
staying away from any type of confrontation and arguments, has to be the best , it can destroy you.
You are just too much , but if you are coming for the money , I guess you are on point.
You know me better than that. I am too new to the net to generate real traffic, yet. This is a great place to start for one who is new to the game. I believe if one is willing to do the work, and realize that hubs have a long shelf life, there can be significant financial return. I don't even have enough time to read many of the instructional hubs around here. I am probably losing money from ignorance all along the way.
I like this mixed media, interactive magazine format. If you want, you can just read all day for free. There are very few writers here who are not good at what they do. It reminds me of some of the best musicians that I have known. Austin Pettit never got picked up by a record label, but he can make a guitar tell you how to feel.
It's all good Sky9106. I have met you here. Your work, attitude and wisdom has been a joy. I have had to examine myself, and found myself lacking in comparison. You have saved me thousands in therapy costs.
If only you know the true feelings , as you already know T can speak no other way. I am laughing at the pic , because I would be coco not to try and enter your mind while you were looking for a picture.
With the same conviction as when I first met you and on here, and I do hope that it will be a joy instead of been a joy, I have not found spooner , did he remove his post?
Bless bro. lol lolo that pic.
Be a true member of HubPages. Write the best you can and particpate the best you can. If you do, you'll benefit from this community and it's support. I don't think you'll make a fortune but it is a wonderful personal and learning experience.
You know this will most definitely hit the top part of the chart . Absolutely be among the top ones in circulation.
The money thing is such a catch , not only here , for years, but I knew this coming in so , that's why it's more to do with getting the beginning correct , before you get the end correct.
You know is great to grow up!
Thanks tillsontitan, and am smiling.
I agree, be honest with your participation. Write what you know and care about. Vote up what you like, comment on what moves you, follow who interests you. Ask what you want to know and answer what you can.
Absolutely on point Sherry. It can be easy to get off track if you don't keep your blinders on. There are so many great writers who have tremendous traffic. When I write about those things which interest me it comes with ease. Staying polite and courteous within the community at large works best. I have been pleased with the overall pleasantness of fellow hubbers.
Hi sherry I also like what you said because I know the power of being honest in life . If I can't be honest , I don't partake. Theere is no gun to my heat , to lie unnecessary.
I have a question . What the use of the vote up?
Always give the snake 50% of your earnings! You will certainly be blessed!
Give the Cat the the other 50% and you'll be truly blessed
are you saying there is a part of this entire thing that's missing , the dear lady above already said quite clearly . There will be nothing to get. No she did not say that. Sky , you need a job in reporting.
All for the snake , a little extra.
I am laughing hysterically Eddy I just used it again. I will say this , one cannot be who they are not . The very worst enemy a human will ever have to face is not the Devil as we may go to church thinking. It's actually the Devil that we allow to enter and take charge of your life.
I can tell the life one lives by the words out their mouths. When the word love become just a toy word, look carefully who is using it.
Let truthfulness be the cloud we ride on.
Are you sure have you asked it the question before ? Because of what you suggested, I felt a little "how" we say things like that in the islands where I was born.
Because I really never overly paid attention , I do I don't and I got poked by you there . So we need to be sure ? Because it doesn't take much.
Indeed it does. In small amounts. Several "up" votes will raise the score.
Beautiful and thank you Mr Examiner , this is great stuff.
You are very welcome, Sky9106. I had missed your reply, so it took me awhile to get back and respond here. I did so now because you referred to this thread in another discussion we have just been having. http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/91572
I was the most active Hubber on the help forum throughout 2011, so these questions are not unfamiliar. I was voted Hubber of the Year 2011 by the Community. I was also given an accolade by HubPages for most helpful Hubber of the year. I am not saying this to brag, but to make it clear that I have done my part to help out in the Community.
And sincere congratulations on your achievement , quite frankly it's a great accomplishment , one that I will love to have on here because that's what will attract the beautiful and knowledgeable crowds . I already know of the wolves in sheep clothing, I know of those who buy sides am looking for the real people can never have too much of them.
These are the ones that will bring great meaning and progress to Hub Pages in the future.
The togetherness, I don't easily get on the other side of my skin , but those are the type of pretense that I can so easily see . Those are the people whose intent sre not for the greater good , it's their own selfishness that drives them to foolishness.
Your head should still be in the direction of the road you started our on and many would easily gravitate to you.
Hub page may even hire you!
I have only been on hubpages a few months but have been impressed with the support I have received. To begin with I was afraid of that comment box on my stories. To begin with I didn't know if my stories would be anything anyone but me would be interested in. For me, it now is the most important part of my stories. I look forward to my readers commenting.

Do you yield to the temptation to write about topics that will get the most clicks or do you write what you are passionate about and know is actually needed by the reader?
