I'm new to this site and i was wondering how to improve my score. I wonder if it based on articles written or does the score increase over time? How do they determine what is a good score?
Your score always starts off low, then rises rapidly.
Just keep on writing good content, join in the forums (not compulsory), comment on other people's hubs, and you will do just fine.
Welcome to Hubpages
And hey Aleta, you might want to use a spell-checker. You got a couple of words wrong in your hub.
I checked out your hubs and you certainly wrote on topics that will be popular with a lot of readers. I absolutely agree with the Hubber who mentioned using spell check. But beyond that, proofread for inconsistencies. For example, "Lose weight" instead of "Loose weight," and some words in your heading are capitalized and others are not. Your score will go up quickly in relation to the quality of your hubs, your presence in the forums and how you give and receive feedback.
Best of luck to you!
Read these for starters...
If you want to have an improved hub score, focus more creating unique and informative content that'll be appealing not only to search engines but human beings as well.
I was told that a high quality hub should contain:
- At least 1500 words, broken up into smaller capsules for easy reading
- At least five original (or properly attributed) and high quality photos
- At least one video (bonus points if it's your own video)
- At least one Map or Table Capsule
- At least one Poll or Quiz Capsule
- Ten relevant tags
- A well-written and short custom summary
Hope that helps and welcome.
