Is there any way to find out whether images shown in Google can be used elsewhere. When I click on pictures, a message appears on the right side which says that images may be subjected to copyright. I want to use Google images for my hubs.
Go to google images advanced search, and opt for commercial use.
It can be very difficult to find legal images to use on Google. Try using the CC Search: http://search.creativecommons.org/ I think they may have a search for Google images that are legal to use, but Flickr is the best. Hope this helps!
