The latest comment to me might give you some example of why he/she was banned.
In response to what I said
"You seem to have me mixed up with someone else. All I ever did was disagree with you. You just can't handle that not everyone believes the same as you do. I am not one of those who go on the forum and insult people for their beliefs but I will stand up to what I believe and I will speak out when people...you...are rude and insulting. As not all believers are pushy and rude, not all athiests harass people."
"You can't take the truth. God said hate the bad. God said love the good. Does the Holy Bible insult you? Why is that? Holy Bible does offend people. Why is that? I am sorry, but why does questions insult you :-). Why don't you answer those questions? Why are you afraid of thought of God? What is going on? You are harrassing me by commenting on other people's stuff. You are trying to pick a battle, but you can going somewhere else with it. James 4:4 If you are part of this world, then you are God's enemy. Have a great day. You are just causing an arguement with me lol."
I feel sorry that it came to a ban on Kikilari. I am the first to say Hurray when a nuisance is no longer bothering us, but for his/her sake I feel it was probably some kind of loneliness causing the problem. Or maybe someone has filled his/her mind with such fanaticism and bible-thumping that their is no independent thought left.
Either way, that person has now missed out on some socializing with a good diversity of people.
Not a all, apparently. This person just became a follower of mine and posted a comment which showed up on my feed. Not merely a short comment either, but a huge rambling religious bunch of nonsense. Obviously he/she/it is easily penetrating HPs barriers against such. Makes one's account here feel secure, eh wot?
uninvited writer: You know that I respect you as a writer...but, I did not really find either comment offensive... people are entitled to what they believe in and that is just the way it goes. Does not make the point of view right or wrong...it just makes it ... real.
This isn't new, Hattie! If you read the OP's post it indicates this was first reported by Susan almost 30 hours ago. HP staff are probably not working today as evidenced by this and other weird happenings taking place this weekend.
"Religious" people (usually Christians) don't mind if other people participate in a religious thread; it's just that they often have to defend themselves against people who make outrageous insulting hateful lewd or harrassing posts. Has nothing to do with free speech from that standpoint, and everything to do with common courtesy and integrity which is sadly lacking from many people.
Yeah, I saw that thread. Well, I actually did as you requested us women to, and read your hub, even voted it UP. You're welcome. I love to read romantic poetry! You're not bad at it.
I think the most romantic one I ever got was this from my husband years ago. It still sits in its frame, actually on my kitchen window sill so I can read it often. He didn't write it, and it's not quite as passionately romantic as the poem you wrote in your hub; it's just a framed saying he bought, but just the fact that he picked it out shows he's got some good taste, and I think it's deeply beautiful.
It's in a clear frame with red roses around the edges; it says---
Because I love you, I can look at life with clearer eyes, And face tomorrow with a brave heart,
And hold my chin up with a brand new hope, And know that I must finish things I start.
Because I love you, Everything's become more beautiful as seasons come and go.
No, she did it with agility and skill. She was small, wiry and strong. She just twisted her way out every time he pinned her and wore him down with superior stamina. It was truly inspiring - I don't think anyone thought she'd win. We gave her a long ovation, believe me.
No, I wouldn't mess with her. A guy could get hurt - physically and pride!
We did used to know a woman friend who would tackle me (both clothed). That was a bit embarrassing too. I COULD have beaten her, but I would have had to hurt her to do it, so I had to get myself thrown to the ground and pinned. Very unfair!
Oh yeah, If he's christian and if he's harassing non christian people on the forums then by all means support him eh? That's what conservative should do isn't it? Oh wait, isn't that what you say against liberals, or maybe not, sorry. It's gods word to harass non-believers isn't it? You must be sad today hearing his ban news.
Oh! Kirstenblog, that's not fair! You are making my mouth water here!
Brenda - I am normally friendly, polite, tolerant of view contrary to my own, and try to understand where each person is coming from. You will have seen my opinions concerning christian matters and god elsewhere.
I love good humour, think it helps lubricate the world on its axis, and it helps to keep serious matters in perspective.
I'm wondering why someone left a comment 'ya big head' on my latest hub..the person had a hubpages account with no profile photo..Ive deleted the comment now so I can't have a closer look at their profile..I don't know...
