Is it allowed for an author to write a hubpage about his own book?
I don't see how it could be a problem if it was written as a review. However, I am not familiar with a specific policy that would pertain to this on HP. Your member name here is probably different the the author name you used, so most would see it as an individual review I would think.
There are many authors here who write previews about their books. I really do not think that there should be a problem, provided what you write does not seem overly promotional. IMHO
Well I wrote three reviews about my Step Dad's books (one on each book), and when the problem where his bio caused a duplicate content trigger (twice) came up, I simply emailed the team and explained. They were fine about it and republished the hubs without any issue. Clearly they had no problem with it being a family member, so I am guessing your own book would be no different.

I've been putting some short articles on niume which include a link back to a hub. The links to the niche sites work fine, but I have just discovered that links to classic HP either load very very slowly or give a...

As fast as I'm trying to fix up hubs that are unfeatured, the problem isn't that there is something wrong with them, but that they are being unfeatured as a result of lack of traffic. Isn't this short sighted? Some...

I find it kind of ridiculous that I have been waiting for a couple weeks now for one of my hubpages to be published. What was the longest time you have ever had it take to get a hubpage to publish?
