by yesterday i had earned 40 cents but five hours later my account shows thati have zero earnings.so someone explain where is my money?or will it add up to this months earnings?

Both will reset to 0 when a new day starts (US time). They both have dropdowns to change the view to 7 days, month or in some cases, 'All Time'.
The only exception is if the amounts are still under review. ON HP ad program this is indicated by a star (earnings are unaudited/pending) and on Adsense your earnings may lower once Adsense audits them if they believe the clicks are low quality or spammy.
