Sorry for my ignorance, and I'm doubly sorry if the answer is sitting somewhere in broad daylight, and I'm just blind, but I've been extremely curious. What is this Panda thing everyone keeps talking about in regards to Hubpages traffic?
And what do people mean when they say they've been sandboxed or have been in the sandbox for the last few months?
I can lead you to some links that can explain it - Panda is actually the name of the Google engineer/developer who was instrumental in the mechanics of the search algorithm that updates search results/rankings.

It was first unleashed in late Feb., 2011. HP took a severe hit for a number of months and then changed the site structure into sub-domains which gave each writer their own sub-domain under HP, instead of everyone being grouped together as it was before. This helped separate writers from the spammy, low quality content which Panda doesn't like. Some writers have recovered, some haven't.
I don't know about the sandbox. I haven't had it's effect.
The worst part is that the pandas are now playing in the sandbox!

I think I have just been sandbox by google. I read that it affect a lot of people who are new, is that true or is it because you have done something wrong. Have you ever been sandbox and what did you do?
