    My First Grandbaby!!
He is so adorable- I already have him as my screensaver on my phone and my laptop- what an exciting time!!
Mom had to have a C section, she was in labor for 20 hours, but she and the baby are doing great!

Yes Chris there is a story- Zachary is because the parents just liked the name, Alan is after my dads (Zachs grandpa who died in 2003) Alan was his first name, and he was a WW 2 vet who served on the USS North Carolina, in the pacific in Guadacanal. The USS North Carolina is one of the most famous battleships of all time, in more battles in naval history than other. My dad was a an officer, a chief petty officer, and the first person on the ship to hear when Pearl Harbor was bombed, he was the chief radio officer at the time.
Alan is also my brothers middle name.
I wish my dad could be here to see Zach, he was a wonderful man and I miss him greatly. OK, here comes the tears......thanks for asking about Zachs name, I am so proud that they named his middle name Alan after my dad......

I am so sorry to have you go through that during such a joyous occasion, but i appreciate your sharing such an inspiring story. My father was a WW2 vet too, and I was named after him. I am sure your boy Zach would be as proud of his name as you are of your father. Again, congratulations big_smile
