Overnight, my traffic suddenly plunged about 50%. I have no idea why this has happened because my traffic has been relatively consistent. Has there been any new algorithms or anything. hmm

But I have heard that some hubbers have had their work stolen. I fear this may happened to me or this could be another issue.

It seems quite strange considering I have been monitoring my hubs for months and now all of a sudden an abrupt decline.

Sorry to hear that, David.  It appears another algo has been rolled out:

Like others have said, Google is rolling out a new algo I guess. I have no idea what's going on though, but it seems as if my traffic is actually rising. Might just be my luck though...

same happened to me .. I'm on less than 50% almost overnight. It most likely is connected to the algo change. I won't be posting anything for a while but it will probably right itself over time but I'm waiting to see.

There was a panda update on 4/19.  I think that is what you're seeing.  There was very little impact with Penguin on HP.

My traffic fell on the 24th (on another subdomain, not this one), but was fine in the few days between the 19th and 24th, increasing if anything.

        Same here.
Down over 1,000 hits on the 24th.
        Till then it was fine.

Hey! I just bought a lottery ticket.
My daily traffic has just hit its lowest point in 2012, and so has HP on Quantcast. I know, its the weather!

Somebody told me that my traffic was low because of Easter last week.  I didn't have the heart to tell them that Easter had actually been and gone 2 weeks earlier.

That said, my traffic is now way lower than it ever was on Easter Sunday!

How do I know if I was affected by the panda update on 4/19 or the Penguin?

My traffic fell on the 25th.

I am growing tired of these Google Updates. I have seen my rise and fall of traffic with HP over the last couple years.

Same here. Down 50%. It is so much easier writing when you know your being paid for your hard work. Hopefully it picks back up.
