It looks like Amazon has reached an agreement with Texas on the tax question. They cut a deal to add 2,500 jobs and invest about $200 million in the state over the next four years and start collecting sales tax on July 1.
I saw this on the news yesterday. Instead of being happy about the jobs and tax revenue, my first thought was "I hope they don't mess up my affiliate account," LOL. I guess I'm worried about it turning out like Illinois. Amazon and Texas have already had one spat, so I'm hoping this time it will be smooth sailing since they've worked out a deal in advance.
I hope it turns into a wonderful thing for all of us!
Sure wish we Illinoisans could profit from being Amazon affiliates!
