I have a hub that is marked for a broken link. I double checked the link and it works just fine. Can a hub, be removed for having a broken link? Could my hub be potentially removed because it was mistakenly identified as a broken link?
Not usually. However it can cause google or some of the other major search engines to not pick up your hub. So it's important that you find the broken link. If you don't see anything in highlighted in yellow when you go to edit then it's probably a link you've provided in the "links" capsule! Double check those. Good Luck
The link was highlighted in yellow. I clicked on it, and the link worked perfectly fine. So the link is misidentified as a broken link.
Highlight the link and copy it. That way it'll be on your clipboard. Then Delete the link. Save the changes to the capsule. Choose "Done Editing". Then Edit again. Open the capsule again. Paste the link where it was before. Then save the capsule and choose Done Editing. This has worked two different times for me when broken links were highlighted - that weren't really broken.
If you go into 'my account', and select 'Broken Links', your link will be shown there. If you click on 'Test Link', it will most likely report that it was OK. The false report will then be cleared in a few hours. Not to worry.
My links really were broken - or they tested as broken. So I "repaired" them as described. Sorry, I didn't think to have you test them. It's been a while since I had that problem.
