I'm dissatisfied with the rankings that google has given my hub about beowulf. It was one of my first hubs and I have learned a lot already. With my new information i feel that I could delete the hub and republish it with better google rankings. Are there and drawbacks to doing this?

I would simply revise and update the existing hub then run over there to Webmaster Tools when done, hit "Health" then "Fetch with Google" and then hit "Submit" to be indexed.

3 weeks is too soon to call out the firing squad. However, going in and updating the existing hub is definitely doable.

I don't know why you'd want to do such a task when you have garnered some SERP and age yikes what's so wrong with just updating the existing Hub? or write another related Hub and link them together. Once done, refresh page, ping and get another boost in existing SERP's. jmo
