So after getting hit hard by Penguin, I have started checking out some of my hubs (my page views went from 2,500 to 700 a day - lost 75% of my traffic) Taking Paul E.'s advice, I googled some of my sentences from one of my most read hubs and put quotation marks at the start and finish of the search term. I found 24 cra$$y backlinks to my hub before my hub even appeared. Just spammy sites with links to many of us here at HP. So I am thinking this is part of why I got hit so hard by Penguin. What, if anything, can a writer do about this?
