I had an article that I had written posted as a hub. It then said that it was a duplicate. So I remembered that I had previously posted it on another website, so I went to that website, and deleted it. I then resubmitted the article and it still says its a duplicate. Is there a rule that says you can only post articles that have never been posted before, even if it is not on the web today?
It will continue to list as a duplicate until it falls out of the Google searches. In other words it has to disappear from Google. This may take several weeks. Not sure if there is a set time frame or not.
The other option you have is to look at your article and do a re-write. Convey the same message and same topic with different words... add to it, take away from it.... work with it. When you are done then resubmit the hub.
The following link should help remove your article from Google search in a few days. It has for me.

Thanks for the prompt and meaningful answers! I put in a request for removal.

I can't understand why the moderator keeps saying that my article is copied. Absolutely no words are duplicated on this hub. I send it in. I feel like it is being done on purpose. Sorry, but I do. Is there anyone that can address this matter for me? Thank you.

What is "duplicate" . Since I started to publish a few so called Hubs I had only headaches. Almost all of them are singled out as "DUPLICATE".The truth is that a part of my work has been on the Internet for more than 18 years now. With few exceptions almost all that work...

One of my hubs has duplicate written underneath it. I contacted hubpages saying it should be unique. Will they check it out, and if it is just a conflict of popular terminology remove the duplicate marker. Or will I have to change the content

Why does my hub keep saying it is a duplicate? It is my work. I even made many changes many times.I deleted it, rewrote it and tried to publish it again, after having made many changes. Still it says duplicate. It should not say this. It is my work.
