What is the ideal pixelation of pictures on hub pages?

    I would like to know the ideal image size of pics that can be posted on hub pages.

      I follow the guideline that HP mentions in an instructional hub:

      Try to upload the largest, highest-resolution photo possible. This will look best in slideshows on your Hub- even if you plan on presenting the photo in a smaller format within the text of your actual Hub.

    Having 72dpi in web images has been the established standard since well before HubPages existed.

    Basically, the picture needs to be 500 pix wide or more.

    Thanks for the help, all Hubbers who responded to the forum so far! Been a little confused about standard image sizes while creating my hubs. Thanks for clarifying the doubts.
