The current Poll allows a user to select one option only. There are many circumstances where a multiple choice poll would be appropriate.
As an example I wrote a hub relating to potential entrants into the Rock Hall of Fame recently. What I would love to have is an overall Poll listing all the bands and allowing readers to select which Bands out of the list should be inducted - they could pick multiple bands if they wanted.
I'm sure there are many uses of this minor change to the poll....

And perhaps this could be expanded to also allow a numerical polling with an order of choice say; 1 - 6 best - worst - style.
I agree with the OP and often can't get the best use of my preferred polls for those very reasons...
