Huppages my comment on first month-name

Hubpages earn while you right

I have just completed my first month at >hubpages < and i am finding it enjoyable and very addictive.I joined hubpages out of curiosity really and wanted to give it a go and try my hand at writing.

Appreciation for something i had written was all i was really hoping for out of Hubpages but to actually see some earnings from it has made it an all so more fascinating experience.

I joined >hubpages< , followed all the Hubpage tutorials to affiliate with Google and amazon, which may i add is very easy to do even if your not the most computer literate person in the world.

My first hub on >hubpages< was about the Dominican Republic and i was just expressing my opinion and thoughts it didn't exactly do very well in terms of page views and nothing in the way of earning revenue. After writing a few more hubs i realised just how bad my first hub was and i have read so many other people who have said the same about their first hubs.

In the 1st 4 weeks i wrote 10 hubs on various subjects of interest to me and found that some worked and some didn't.So i read up on how to improve my page views and more importantly increase my Google AdSense earnings and found the following to be most useful.

Making money with hubpages is possible

Hard work and good topical contenet will reap rewards
Hard work and good topical contenet will reap rewards

Hubpages what ive learnt so far

Firstly i changed my page layouts and put my ads down the side of my text at the top of the page which means you have a better chance of someone clicking one of them and in-turn making you money. Also you cannot guarantee that everyone will scroll down the pages you have written.

Secondly my first hubs on hubpages i was putting in links in my text but to other peoples hubpages .I then changed this on a couple of my hubs and had instant results this is known as back linking. Back linking links from one hub to another using key words so for example if you have a few hubs in the same description catagory then this makes it alot easier to do.Back linking is easily done on hubpages just by going to the top of your hubpage and clicking on suggest links. You can also highlight you own links as well.

Now i have started promoting my hubs on other forums to try and get traffic to my pages. You will be very lucky if someone just stumbles across your site your also not always going to be on the first search page on google so you have to put in some work to get traffic heading your way.You can litterally see the difference overnight when you start doing these things.

Whats next for me on Hubpages

My next project is to write 30 hubs in 30 days which has been written about in other hubs on hubpages and then maintain and promote these. My inspiration for writing comes from answering and posting questions on hubpages as well as topics i enjoy writing about.I plan in the next 30 days to reach the 10,000 pages viewed trophy and work my way to a steady daily income

Summary

If you have joined hubpages to share your thoughts opinions and writing styles with others then its a great place to be.If you want to do this and make money then be prepared to put in some hard work be under no illusions hubpages isnt a get rich quick scheme.

Hubpages is a learning experience and you cant expect to sign up and start making a living from hubpages, i would describe hubpages in a similar way to gardening if you plant a seed you cannot expect to have a full crop straight away you have to nurture and maintain to bear fruit and the more fruit and flowers you want the more seeds you plant.

So 30 hubs in 30 days and more Google Adsense earnings is the aim for the next month, also getting some of my existing hubs onto the first Google search page if i can achieve this then i will be very happy and making my 2nd month on Hubpages hub!!

I hope this hub is useful and helps to inspire you to keep posting on hubpages and if you can make a little money from Google Adsense and other affiliates at the same time then its all good

Happy hubbing!!

I joined HubPages almost a year ago today, as a medium to heal me of emotional and physical pains brought by my shingles. I wrote my first hub about it and, I'm not only healed, I'm enjoying the love and sharing I experience here with sympathetic friends. Keep on hubbing and you'll agree with me!

Hi soji1 I'm newish too and hopeless with computers, luckily i have a mate who helps me out. One tip is to think of a catchy title for your hub and don't make them too long unless you think what you have to write about warrants it. I'm addicted too and haven't watched X factor this season, or anything on telly except for my beloved Wolves. Good luck anyway, you write very well. Cheers

Hi SIJ01, I just joined a couple of weeks ago and have put out a few hubs and i feel that each one has been a learning curve. I've learned little bits as i've went on. But your article has helped with a few other pointers. Cheers. Michael.

I joined hubpages about a week ago and I've already seen a penny. It gives me hope for a better future for my family. I am unemployed and have real bad diabetes, so it is hard for me to go out and find work and to keep working. Hubpages and other sites like it inspire me to keep hubbing and learning.

Thank you for your inspiration.
