Professional Hub-Pager?

When you are writing, the children, husband, friends and family do not really think you are working. I chose this subtitle appropriately as it came from a response to my daughter when she said, “you are not working, you are on Hub Pages.” I have been reading every Hub I could Find on earnings in hopes of making my Hubs more successful. There are lot of useful, well written Hubs that will guide you. Hopefully this will be one.

1. You need to write well. Write your Hub and read it aloud before publishing. (No grammar, spelling or punctuation errors)

2. Be creative, write about what interests you and will interest other people.

3. You need to write a summary for each Hub

4. You need to include E-Bay and Amazon capsules to each Hub, I try to add two of each capsule. Mix and mingle them to go along with the information you are writing about.

5. If you are writing Recipes utilize the special layout options.

6. Include a Video if appropriate.

7. Include photo’s that can dress your article up.

8. Include links that can validate your information.

9. Get involved in the Hub Community: do some hub hopping, leave legitimate and sincere feedback, acknowledge your commenter’s, and answer Hub Community Questions. Write Often. In the first few weeks I was writing a Hub a day.

10. Advertise your work. Share your Hubs on any social media site you belong to and continue to look for new ones that will allow you to post a link to each of your Hub articles. I am currently using Facebook, Pinterest and Reddit to plug my articles, and I am always on the look out for a good social media site. Many sites want you to post articles on their site, not links to your already written articles. You cannot have duplicate published material online, so choose wisely where you want your articles to live.

11. Use backlinks to Hubs that are alike in nature, this is a way to drive more traffic to each of your Hubs.

12. Evaluate your Hubs, I may be obsessed, but everyday I make time to look at my account and see what Hubs are lagging. I may change the title, or add more information.

I am still new to the Hub Pages Community, but when I first began this writing experiment my initial goal was to have an over-all Hub Score of 90, now I would like to be at a 100. It is a work in progress, as I learn something new every day.

I cannot really tell you what to expect, I can only show you what my earnings have been so far:

I just learned last week that I should be including E-Bay and Amazon capsules, so we will see if the earnings increase from this added factor. I know that it is not yet substantial, but I have only been on Hub Pages for two months. It gives me hope that the more I write, and the more people I reach the earnings will continue to grow. The main reason I am on Hub Pages is to write, it is bliss for me to write articles about the world, events, and items of interest. The earnings are an added bonus.
