Astronomy-reporting about celestial objects
Problems That Have Not Been Solved
The thing that captures my attention most about the study of astronomy is the questions that have not yet been answered. I really have been enjoying studying the great advances that mankind has made about the nature of our universe, but the mysteries are the most fascinating.
The biggest question of all is "Is their life out there in the universe?". Moreover, is it intelligent life? The existence of life elsewhere would definitely change a lot of things that we believe right now. I believe that human beings have only recently started searching for extraterrestrial life and therefore one cannot surely rule out the possibility of the abundance of life in the universe. On a cosmological scale, the 200,000 years that modern humans have been around for and the invention of radio transmission in 1895 is a very brief period.
The other question that is pretty interesting is the future of the universe and where it is headed. In addition, the other issue that has kept me up at night is the characteristics of dark matter and dark energy.
