They are listed in this page according to the PRC (Professional Regulation Commission) official results of top performance schools and engineering courses such as – civil engineering, chemical, electrical, mechanical ECE (electronics and communications engineering) and metallurgical engineering and more.

Gathering from the summarized best and top performing schools and overall performance (both first timers and repeaters values) from the past consecutive board exams of civil engineering, chemical, electrical, mechanical and other engineering courses, it concludes that the most usual schools and colleges that are always on the list and rank best amongst others are:

University of the Philippines –Los Banos

University of the Philippines – Diliman

De La Salle University Manila

Take note that the list above is not on chronological order as each school differ ranks and positions each board exam and each one tops each category one way or another. One school ranks in civil engineering whilst the other top the chemical engineering and so on.

UP Los Banos and Diliman always top in the Civil engineering categories from the past series of board exams especially this 2012 whilst last year, 2011, UP Diliman was the only university who topped the licensure exam (96%) having 48 examinees passers out of 50 among other engineering schools nationwide. Although UP Diliman grabbed the first spot among the topnotchers in this April 2012 Chemical Engineering performance, followed by MSU Institute of technology – Iligan and De La Salle University Manila

As to registered electrical engineering this April 2012, UP Los Banos nailed it by achieving a 100% passing rate with 18 passers out of 18 followed by MSU Iligan and Technological University of the Philippines-Taguig.

Anyway, the top universities in the Philippines (UP, Ateneo, UST and La Salle) also belong to the Best Universities in Asiaaccording to Asiaweek's list.

How to choose your engineering school?

You are gonna be in college soon and you decided to take up an engineering course. Have you decided which school you want from the list above? Choosing the best engineering school for someone who wants to take up engineering in college is tough as choosing any career. A university’s reputation and good rank may be so encouraging but in the end, it’s the individual’s own performance and passing the board exam. To have that professional license is the most important of all though choosing an Alma Mater may mold anyone better than others. After all, it’s like engineering itself, you need a strong foundation and smart structure in going up the ladder of your career and reaching for your dreams.

There are engineering colleges and universities that offer low tuition fees than others like those state universities which perform better than the well known private and more expensive schools like Ateneo and La Salle. If you’re in the province or far from Manila, there are some schools in Visayas and Mindanao that are doing well too. They also produce topnotch engineers every year like MSU and Ateneo de Davao among others. Some technical engineering colleges and electrical engineering technology are also well spread nationwide.

Most of the top notchers come from UP. But the most important thing about choosing a school is not in its topnotchers, it is in the number of students produce every year. UST always produces the largest number of CE passers every year (always a value higher than UP's passers, most probably with a minimum of 60+ students a year).

For mechanical engineering school, in year 2011, CMU has 100% passers(21/21) and was Top#1 (and BSU was Top#2). In 2012, CMU has 95% passers (19/20) and is Top #2 (and BSU is currently Top#1). What would be the result for 2013? good luck to all engineering schools.

Why? Xavier University not included here. this is not reliable for me XU must place rank 10. And also include UBAT and BatSU
