In this article we shall be changing a fraction to a percent. To do this, convert the fraction to a new fraction with 100 on the denominator.

Let’s look at some questions on how to convert a fraction to a percent.

**Question 1**

Firstly:

48/200 = x/100

All you need to do is work out the numerator (x) of the equivalent fraction.

Now the denominator of the first fraction has to be divided by 2 to give 100, so you also need to divide the numerator of the fraction by 2 (48 ÷ 2)

So:

48/200 = 24/100

Therefore, 48/200 as a percent is 24%.
