Intelligence, a Relative Trait
Intelligence is quite the relative trait,
and often is a common inherited fate,
Depending upon just who is so asked,
Then perhaps wearing, a clever mask.
Dependent upon species, not of gender,
Often a falsehood, so it may surrender.
Never given, a certain factual account,
Nor the actual challenge, was to mount.
Intelligence, I suspect, to each his own,
How much knowledge, or how was grown.
Who would suspect one's scholarly torch,
Inferior, to a hound's rest, upon its porch?
I was inspired to write this by a recent question asked.
