Krishnagiri's 11th to 18th Century Museum.[Tamil Nadu]
Take Vegetarian Lunch after Visiting Shree.Chi.Kattu Veera Anjaneyar Temple and visit the Museum to see11th Century Stone Carvings found in Krishnagiri.T N.
KRISHNAGIRI LAND OF HILLS & GREEN FIELDS.
CANNON FOUND IN HOSUR kept in Krishnagiri.
There are a dozen hills all waiting for a visitor.
Another Nice Hill in 'Q'.
A Holy Cow & A Hill.
There must be a reason for so many hills.
11th Century Hero Stone found here.
From Garbage to Greenary.
Once you had your breakfast at HOSUR you reach the ever green land scape and views of Tamil Nadu's neglected place of the beautiful place of hills and greenery you missed on your way from the garbage city of Bangalore which was once called as garden city. The Museum at Bangalore is missing with many items I had seen 30 years back, where have they gone.Krishnagiri the nearest place to Bangalore is a jungle and the people here do not have water or power during best part of the day, there are no big industries except granite diggers all along the highway spreading their ware house and offices. The only sign boards we see or I saw was cell phone companies or big petrol bunks inside Krishnagiri and outside. How much of govt money is spent in developing Krishnagiri is a million bucks question.Just a little bit of investigation that I made in few hours in visiting the museum and the town gave the impression that no member of the elected representative had contributed a big chunk of public money in developing this little hilly green green town of the great tamil nadu.We south Indians think of tamil nadu as a place of idli and dosa eating people who have good dancers and film actresses in the capitol. All other places are pilgrimage centers and temples with a history of beautiful culture of good old days when India was the richest country of the world with a language of vedic knowledge in world's best known language Sanskrit.
Krishna is the name of hindu's god who helped a king in the mythological story of Mahabharat. Giri means a hill. How the name Krishnagiri came is another interesting story. What is my interest in this place is nothing but curiosity and sympathy for this place after my visit pending since over 30 years as my friend belonged to this place and he might be just sitting in some place doing nothing better than me.He might be in Krishnagiri or a better place. When I planed to go to this place I did some goggle search and found that this place had a dam and a museum. As I was to visit this place my new driver told me that he was from Krishnagiri.I asked him if there was a temple of Krishna he said there was a temple of Sri.Anjeneya.I planed a visit and went there.I went there and was pleased to see a temple with a difference.I had seen many temples but this was one of kind. The next visit was when my wish and prayer to Sri.Anjeneyar came true.It was then I visited the Museum and saw the condition in which it existed.Just 100% neglect and indifference towards development. All those who came here to rule the place as govt nominees had just spent their time and gone not interested to do or not able to do anything.
