No Color, Race, or Creed
Beyond all colors, races, or creeds,
a vital part of our human needs,
Acceptance, a sense of belonging,
a treating right, without wronging.
No religion or culture, causes this trait,
not by chance, or of any fate,
Coming forth and from deep within,
the grace of goodness, as a friend.
The basic strength, of human caring,
a righteous life, that of sharing.
A free spirit reigns, without restraints,
the special quality, as of the saints.
Without a special face, all those a part,
no ending, yet must have its start.
Brothers and sisters, compassion shown,
by a seed of good, from which it's grown.
