Seth Godin's Blog-definitely Worth Your Time
Good Content is Hard to Find Online, Seth Godin's Blog is an Oasis
After working as a software brand manager in the mid-1980s, Godin started Yoyodyne; one of the first Internet-based direct-marketing firms, with the notion that companies needed to rethink how they reached customers. His efforts caught the attention of Yahoo!, which bought the company in 1998 and kept Godin on as a vice president of permission marketing. Godin has produced several critically acclaimed and attention-grabbing books, including Permission Marketing, All Marketers Are Liars, and Purple Cow (which was distributed in a milk carton). In 2005, Godin founded Squidoo.com, a Web site where users can share links and information about an idea or topic important to them. (Quoted from http://www.ted.com/speakers/seth_godin.html)

His blog (here) is a stream of wisdom filled perspectives on business and life. He is a wonderful writer and speaker, his talk at TED "on the tribes we lead", is an eye opener into the way communities and society work. I personally found this talk to open many possibilities regarding how I negotiate my practice as an Artist. Find the talk here. A snippet from TED "Seth Godin argues the Internet has ended mass marketing and revived a human social unit from the distant past: tribes. Founded on shared ideas and values, tribes give ordinary people the power to lead and make big change."For some of us, the idea of blogging is still pretty much a fuzzy area, we are not too sure how long the articles should be, what they should be of and so on. Seth's blog covers these questions not only by way of example, (in the manner in which he handles his blog) but also in articles he writes about marketing and communicating ideas. Not only is Seth Godin generous with his knowledge, he is an expert at what he does. Well respected in his field and beyond, he is definitely one to sign up to (RSS). Furthermore, this is a great way to learn and expand your horizons, see how the experts handle business. I would highly recommend checking out his article on our attitudes towards work in his entry called " I don't feel like it". It surely touched a sensitive spot for me!
