Doubt You Can Overcome Anything? Well you can. Read this.
Who changes your life is you.
You are basically the one to change your life. You are the only one who really can; it’s up to you and whatever you do is your credit. No one can claim they have changed your life; they may have helped or given you some ideas; but it’s you who did it and you who can do it and you who must do it.
Self Help Books/Advice
You could read all the self help books in the world, you could get the best advice from people, but actually doing something is your work, your part in the whole thing. It comes down to:
- your willingness to learn
- you're openness to new ideas
- you're willing to put in effort
- doing new things even if they make you uncomfortable at first
Basically, I also wanted to mention one needs to be in good health also. For example, there are some medications doctors prescribe for psychiatric illness which make the mind cloudy and difficult to learn anything new.
So you made some new and good changes? :-)
Who really did the changing; was it you or someone who who advised you? It's very important to have mentors be they parents, friends, or an authority; and having access to make the learning process available to you, i.e. the internet, is important, but I think you know the answer who really did it, it was you. You alone are really in control of your destiny.
Avoid negativity in order to change for the better
There often are people in our lives who are or would be a detriment to our success. You probably know right off who they are and some of the things you may remember they did say. Well they were wrong, weren’t they? You overcame. You did. You!!
Success Must Be Desired
You must desire success first of all. What is success? Success is anything you want to become or overcome. It could be acquiring a job or moving past a bad past or bad behavior or both or even more! You are capable of anything. Again: You are capable – c-a-p-a-b-l-e of A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G.
How do you overcome?
Many people have problems they need to overcome to be happy or to survive in this world. You can’t really survive in this world, well you can be a walking person who’s dead inside, but you can’t really survive in this world unless you overcome.
How? It’s easier said than done to overcome. But it can be done. Anything can be done and anything is possible.
Change requires hard work....
Change is hard and can be very scary, so it's good to do a little at a time. A visual picture of positive thinking and changing the way you think is to envision a circle: your brain. On the left side is a vertical line which is thick and on the right side a vertical line which is thin. The left line which is thick is how used to you are of thinking negative and hopeless thoughts (if you got into the habit of it or were depressed a long time.) The right side is HOPE. It’s the side which is thin – because you’re not in the habit yet but you will be soon, if you keep practicing the act of refusing to give in to despair, loneliness, or depression and know you can actually force yourself to think positive (and that right line will get thicker, and you'll eventually be positive more often than not.)
