The 2012 Doomsday Ruse

Source

I am calling it a ruse because that's exactly what it is. We now have scammers preying on the gullible with extraordinary information on their annoying websites for lack of a better word. My inspiration Carl Sagan always stated that extraordinary information called for extraordinary evidence. I agree with the fact that there is a lot out there that we still have to account for. Think Star Wars here. What seemed impossible to expert scientists a few decades ago is fast becoming reality. You know exactly what I am talking about here. But with regards to this doomsday ruse otherwise known as the 2012 phenomenon, things just don't add up!

It's not as big here in the States because we have sane people up here who are scientifically literate despite the obvious shortcomings in the education system that our friends to the East along with the politicians trying to energize the masses are quick to point out. But this whole Hub is mainly aimed at a lot of my relatives and some of their friends (whom I unfortunately have to speak to occasionally on Skype or on trips to India) back in my country of origin India.

Now India is a great place and one of the reasons why I put this up here was because as you know I've been trying pretty hard to get a piece of some of that pie there. What better way, than posting a Hub with a potential of billion views, eh? I wish!

But, anyway, for all you reading this who have been mislead by the conspiracy theorists, I urge you to read this NASA post on their official website that dispels all the rumors associated with this 2012 phenomenon. For those of you who can't read English, I feel bad for you. I know that this is the major reason for all the misinterpretations and misrepresentations.

And for those of you who can't be bothered taking the time to thoroughly read the NASA post that I shared with you, I have news that there will be no Planet Nibiru hurtling towards us, no alignment that they talk of so much, no meteor strikes, no total blackout and no solar storms. None of that Mayan calendar hogwash, either. Give me a break!

There will only be the usual Winter Solstice scheduled to take place on December, 21, 2012. Sorry to break it to you guys and spoil the party. Haha. You can see how much fun I am having with this.

I am going to go down as a prophet too. But of course I've been aided with the research and work by the scientific community at large. But still there is something about being supremely confident about something that is to happen in the future. As we all know the future is full of uncertainty. Being a stock trader, I have yet to go into a position without biting my nails.

Mark this down all you naysayers. The date up there says December 16, 2012. Exactly 6 days prior to the so called doomsday. There will be no apocalypse. Absolutely nothing!

It took me 10 minutes to write this up. I do agree that it was after extensive research and a love for astronomy that has existed since my childhood.

When exactly will it hit?

Think about it like this: When it is 21st December in Asia, it will still be the 20th December in the Americas and even become the 22nd December in Australia.

I know that it can probably wait until the Americas get to the 'doomsday' date. But then there will only be a short window of opportunity as it will already be the 22nd in Australia before long.

I am just jesting here as the whole doomsday thing makes me laugh and I thought I'll have a little fun!

Do you really believe the world will end?

I want to look at the face of those millions of people who wake up on 22nd December wondering whether they are in heaven or hell instead of earth :)
