The Affliction of Conditioning

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

We are so affected by symbols,

images passed down,

ingrained in memory,

conditioned for response.

The cross, the swastika, pentagram,

all twisted into other meanings,

far from purpose.

We grasp these symbols,

in a life attuned to finding place,

to give meaning to our existence,

to justify our actions.

From these ideas we create ideologies,

detailed expressions of thought in judgement,

creating division, one belief against another.

All this for our own self-purpose,

our good intentions delegated to our imperfections.

Governed by these beliefs we then

contend with non-believers,

ignorance the motivation of segregation,

the instiller of ill-content.

Beyond all that we have invented,

to save our miserable souls,

the only truth is love

and compassion for all mankind.

Any belief that compromises that,

is not worth the paper it’s printed on.

Demons amongst us? No religion teaches hate and war? Amazing how we manage to go through life with side blinders on, as do horses when we want them to follow a designated path without distractions. Keep up your messages of logic. Hopefully, one day logic will reign over the fairy tale world of the brainwashed masses.

Thanks Man from Modesto, some interesting facts. Evil will never be gone, but people blindly following these acts of violence and war just help the cause.

A thought-provoking poem. Indeed, no religion teaches hate and war. The various ideologies are seeking the same thing - peace and love. But some people, as you said, twist those cryptic words and interpret them to satisfy their selfish ends. And the 'miserable souls' are the ones misled and misguided. Its time people tried to look beyond what I said to them in such overwhelming debates and try to use their own sense of things.

Voted up.

It's worse than you think. George Bush ordered the beginning of Operation Desert Storm on March 19th. Obama began Operation Iraqi Freedom on March 19th. The bombing of Libya also began on that day of the year. What is so special about that day? It is the birthday of the goddess of war, Minerva. She is a real spirit, a demon, worshiped by satanists. Obama and Bush are actually cousins (along with Dick Cheney). They are all satanists. These people believe in their demon-gods. They sacrifice lives to them by ordering men to die.

The majority of the world will never believe this is true. They are too busy believing Satan does not exist, and neither do demons. All of Satan's followers are very busy ensuring this continues.
