Are there signs to tell you that you need to watch what you eat?

In part II we established the fact that long-term mistreatment to the immune system can be caused by the foods we eat, the drugs we take and the emotional stress we go through as part of our lives.

We listed many of the conditions that sugar, as part of our food, can cause havoc to our immune system.

Adding sugar to our foods does not make sense!!

You'll find it difficult in this day and age, to find any of our stores, or our supermarkets carrying food that doesn't have some amount of sugar added to the ingredient list. Why? Why do the food processors have to add sugar to everything they make? It doesn't make sense.

Is the FDA looking out for our safety?

So now we know that sugar is not good for us, it weakens our immune system. But, because of our "lifestyle habits" we've grown accustom to that sweet, sweet taste of sugar. It's addictive, some studies and reports claim it to be more addictive to the human body than the narcotic, heroin ...doing just as much damage to the body if not more. And knowing this, our most wonderful prestigious FDA, who is supposed to be looking out for our safety, still allows this ingredient to be added to just about every food product on the market. What gives here?

Can we stop the sugar cravings?

Now, knowing that sugar is not good for us, we try to "stop the sugar." But guess what? We can't stop the sugar because we're addicted to sugar. Have you ever craved sugar? Have you ever craved something sweet? Have you ever searched the drawers for that lost piece of candy? Looked through coat pockets hoping to find a piece of something sweet? Sure you have ...we all have!!

What's this ...Sugar substitute ...and does it help?

Settle down, stop biting your nails, everything is okay, because our most FDA has solved the sugar problem for us. We now have a sugar substitute ...it's called Aspartame.

It's going to take the place of sugar and we'll all be happy campers, right? Wrong again.

Aspartame is found in 1000's of products ranging from chewing gum to the big brand name sport drinks on the market, almost all processed foods marked "sugar free" and in all the soft drinks and so called diet drinks.

Aspartame is known to have the same affect as sugar!

What most consumers don't know is that the Aspartame found in these products have the same health risks as sugar, plus 100's more, weakening our immune system even more.

Aspartame is the most complained additive in history!! Oh no, formaldehyde???

FYI: Aspartame is a chemical sugar substitute synthetically made and is the most complained about additive in history. Just to give you a listing of some of the adverse reactions reported to our FDA from this deadly additive, here are the most common; arthritis, asthma, anxiety attacks, bloating, breathing difficulties, chronic fatigue, confusion, depression, hair loss, migraines, heart palpitations, hives, high blood pressure, infections, impotency, insomnia, irritability, itching, joint pain, memory loss, seizures, muscle spasms, nausea, numbness, tingling, panic attacks, tinnitus, and vertigo and a list goes on. Now get this, when the temperature of Aspartame exceeds 86 degrees, it turns in to formaldehyde. And we all know what formaldehyde is used for and when we consume it, we might say, we're self-embalming!

The list of diseases it worsens is a crime!

Long term use of Aspartame worsens the following disease: arthritis, Alzheimer's, diabetes, epilepsy, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, MS, Parkinson's Disease, lupus, lyme disease, ADD, and depression ...just to name a few. Is it any wonder, we end up with a weakened immune system.

Aspartame Part 9

Why do the people believe that if a food or an ingredient is on the market ...it is safe? What does it take for us to realize that there is only one person that can take care of you and that is yourself!

In the following you will find some alternatives to sweeteners. They are healthy for you and will have no side effects. The low glycemic index sweetener will slowly absorb into the body and therefore preventing spikes in blood sugar. Enjoy!
