The Joy Makers: Feel the Love

Improv group brings joy to surprised thousands

Updated:  JK Wedding Entrance Dance video of pure Joy!  Stop here for free joy, hugs, love and a happiness high that will last for days!

Soul refreshment

Are you in need of some soul refreshment? Does your heart feel burdened by financial stress and worry of job loss? Do you wonder where the world is going with all the economic chaos and political bickering?

Forget about it. If only for a while, rest assured, after you view these videos there is absolutely no way you are going to feel down, stressed or miserable. It simply isn’t possible! The high lasts for hours!

Email friend

When a fellow blogger from MyBlogLog, Joann Vallo, emailed me the dance video I was more than thrilled. I watched it so I could write back an appropriate email. Well, what a gift! Like a little five-year-old with a favorite Disney movie I watched it again and again. Then I found the related videos and went crazy laughing at those too. Joann, you rock, girl, thanks!

That was late last night as I stayed up to midnight laughing and feeling good. Then, this morning I just had to share with my husband. The huge grin on his face and the loud guffaws from a normally quiet very serious kind of guy and the Happy Dance high started all over again!

Different kind of everyday Angels

That’s why I dubbed these film makers The Joy Makers because they truly qualify. More so, they qualify as angels in our lives much like HubPages own ripplemaker often writes. She writes a lot on inspiration. These guys don’t inspire you with mental food but with heart food to lift your spirit into a higher realm.

Churches and Dance of Joy

My husband and I were talking today and wondered what it would be like if churches adopted this same attitude. In practice, they could learn a choreographed dance for 15 minutes, hear a 10 minute sermon, dance another 15 minutes, hear a 10 minute teaching, dance another 15 minutes and leave the sanctuary feeling so refreshed it would probably last until next week.

There really is something about doing a group activity AND in unison. If you don’t believe in the power of unity then think again and watch the following videos. This is one free spa where you will leave feeling awesome!

Watch the audience reactions in all these videos as it is there the transformation takes place. Watch the videos in order and I guarantee you will be lifted up in joy and feel the love!

Freeze in place - watched by 16 million people

Human mirror on the subway - watched by 1.4 million

No Pants Subway Ride - over 6 million liked this one.

T-Mobile Dance in Liverpool, England subway - over 7 million liked this.

Making of the T-Mobile Dance video

Public's Reaction to the T-Mobile Dance video

T-Mobile Dance Rehearsal enmasse at 2 AM

Watch the T-Mobile Dance video one more time

And the best for last!

My friend Elena Vilalta from Spain signs her emails “Abazos” (Hugs). She sent me this cool video too.

Free hugs were banned. The Petition began. 10,000 signatures later, Love wins!

Free Hugs Campaign

The Love is YOURS!

Now you feel the love.  Go forth and share some hugs, some love, and lots of your joy with others!  Abrazos!

I got happy chills! Way cool! I had to subscribe. I love the lady that said that she walked in there upset and walked out happy. Go Elena for finding that last video!

I'm bookmarking this hub and passing it along. Great job!

Hey Elena and Denny, we need to come up with our own something alive and spontaneous... Frieda, too!  Got any ideas? (BTW, thanks Elena for plugging my Hub.) I enjoyed seeing the video I missed- the Human Mirror on the Subway. I love it all.

Gee, I wonder what we could do, but just thinking about it has me grinning! :-)

I can share something that I actually DO: For people that I only know online, never met in real life, I record a message in the computer with my voice, saying a silly something or other, and send it over, as a way to "become more tangible", if you will. Tends to go over very well! Anything along those lines that could happen here?!

Hi, Elena, thanks for telling us about Storytellers hub - thank goodness I did a different take on these videos, whew! Her cat video was hilarious and I could swear she had been to my house filming my cat Leonardo because that is exactly how he conks out fast asleep on the floor, total trust and abandon!  Thanks for the visit!

Hi, Frieda, happy chills is a great way to title that intense feeling these videos give you.  Makes me glad to be right-brained dominant.  Why?  Because part of the right brain's duties is to take seemingly disparate or unrelated elements and pull them together to create another concept in concert.

If you notice the videos build the joy and cap it off with the last video.  Cool arrangement, like doing a video symphony, what fun!  Used to write videos like this in college before computers and the professors used to fuss at me that they could not be produced.  Yay and kudos for the new generation of film makers who understand the medium and have computers to help deliver their messages and dreams!  I just had to celebrate these guys as everyday angels. Thanks for visiting!

Hi, Storyteller, thanks for coming by for a visit! Perhaps our 2 hubs are just the beginning of a new flashmob developing.  As other folks post up here maybe they will contribute in a way that will hit critical mass for the idea you all have proposed.  Unity of vision, cool!  Excited to see what happens next.

One partial idea: If a large number of writers all wrote a different take on this flashmob improv idea we could string together all our hubs in a way that could create a 30 day art celebration of grins, laughs and joy - arrange them in such a way that each hub builds on the previous. What a hoot that could be!

Hi, may, thanks for visiting! My cats are so used to the Happy Dance around here they join in! :) They also demand to be petted - a lot - like dogs like. Glad you enjoyed the videos - they are great film makers to bring so much joy to everyone.

Hi, Fazia, thanks for visiting!

Another fun place is Fazia's new educational web site: www.WordAhead.com.  It's a way to build vocabulary using and making your own videos.  Mostly set up for students and teachers but hey! I had fun playing over there - another joy moment!

Denny: I loved this! I watched every video...I think some kind of a record for me. So cool. I'm sure everyone has their favorites, and I do too. I liked the freezing people in Grand Central, and of course the big dance in Liverpool, not that everything wasn't great! I have a big stupid grin on my face right now.

I wondered if you had ever heard of the dancing Man? It's a pretty cool story, with a cool video to go along with it, right up the alley of this hub so I think you might like to see it (although there's more than one.) With your permission, here's the link:

Hope you have a great, smiling day!

Hi, Christoph, thanks for the visit from your busy schedule! Your favorites happened to be my favorites too. Included the others to show a pattern of behavior that led up to the best videos as well as explain how they came to do those videos.

I see you have given me the sequel to The Joy Makers. LOVED that video you suggested, thanks too! I feel another hub coming on as a result... :)

Hi, Denny. Thanks so much, and I have now linked this to that. Sorry I didn't think of it first. My blog is going great guns, by the way. I busted all previous records yesterday with 499 hits. I don't know, but this strikes me as good. Seems I set a new level every two days! Woo!

Hi, Christoph, congrats on the burst of traffic, cool! Link, link, link!  Besides, as a conceptual thinker I enjoy links that dovetail nicely into each other.  I like to chain link up to 100 concepts in my head.  (It gets busy in there...) They make sense and you can learn more about a subject from different facets.

Note:  To anyone who is lost in this private conversation here's the deal - Christoph wrote a cool post on his The Crusty Curmudgeon blog today about Matt Harding The Dancing Man video he mentioned in the above comments here on this hub.  Just check out his blog, a fun place of skewed view news and funny.

Thanks, CR, for stopping by to visit and brag about a GREAT day, cool!

Great hub, Denny! It's sunny and bright outside right now, and sunny and bright inside. I'd seen the T-mobile one, and the hugs one, but it was great to see them again, and especially to see how they filmed the t-mobile one. Great stuff! Thanks!

Hi, SEM Pro, thanks for visiting today! It does help when something comes easy in life for a change.  People have enough disappointments and setbacks to deal with especially right now with the down economy and job loss.  This hub and the videos are free and easy entertainment to help keep everyone's attitudes up so they can forget about their worries for a little while.  When they go back to problem-solving they will do so refreshed and stronger.  Laughter has that massive an effect!

Denny,

"The loveliest person is the one who brings a smile to another person's face" - I LOVE YOU , such an excellent, smiley hub!

Denny Lyon profile image

Denny Lyon 7 years ago from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA Author

Hi, nazishnasim, you have a beautiful face yourself:  your loving heart shines thru for all to see!

Sometimes, when life gets way too serious we need upbeat hubs like this to get us back in balance and realize that we do belong and are loved too!

Negativity can get so pervasive (like watching the TV news too much or working in the corporate world) that it takes a strong shot of optimism to dig us out.  Have a happy day!

HUG someone or better yet, hug someone's pet, some people respond better to having their pet loved and more willingly receive the love indirectly.

Trust me, over time I've figured it out how to flow out love from almost every angle... (though I tend to work mostly with the hard-hearted who are a long sell over time.) Everyone needs to be loved. You never know when someone becomes a convert, sheds the bad attitude and goes forth to pass it forward: LOVE!

Hi, ripplemaker, even the lovers need to be sent some reciprocal link love from time to time, so true! Thanks for visiting out of your busy day and staying connected. It's the connectedness that makes us feel good, get lifted up and stay strong!

That is so true. Since I have work all day, I only have a few hours at night to be on the internet or on Hubpages. I sometimes wish the nights would be longer but then it wouldn't feel alright..many, many thanks! :)
