Who Was The Richest man or King in History

According to religious facts, Korah was the right hand and the minister of Pharaoh. It is said that he was and still the richest man in history where he was given the power of magic (chemistry) to turn sand into pure gold. Thus, he collected all his fortune. One of the interesting facts is that his safe where he kept all his treasures was very huge and the key of that safe needed a group of strong men to carry it. Now, we can detect his story in the Quran as it says:

Now Korah was of Moses folk, but he oppressed them and we gave him so much treasure that the stores thereof would verily have been a burden for a troop of mighty men.

So we caused the earth to swallow him and his dwelling place.

Korah also is mentioned in the scriptures, in Genesis 36:5 where he is the son of Esau and Aholibamah:

And Oholibamah bore Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah. These are the sons of Esau that were born unto him in the land of Canaan.

The demise of Korah and his votaries (followers) came finally after a clash between Moses and Korah. Moses warned Korah that God will not tolerate his actions; therefore, there will be revenge upon him and his clan. Next day, the earth itself opened beneath them and swallowed all of them along with Korah’s treasures as mentioned in the scripture:

The ground under them split apart and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them, with their households and all Korah's men and all their possessions. They went down alive into the grave, with everything they owned; the earth closed over them, and they perished and were gone from the community.

Korah is considered according to many resources as the richest and the most powerful man ever. Till now, his mighty wealth remains one of nature’s mysteries.

Location of Korah’s castle is in Egypt, near Phayoum and is open for tourism. Now, if we take a virtual tour, we can see the castle façade. The castle consists of three stories, 336 rooms. This gate in the picture is not the original one because the original gate was constructed out of granite. The moment you enter the palace, you will find the throne below which is a deep, dark hole that goes 9 feet under. Korah’s throne as well as his garments were made of gold. His richness is that he asked Moses to pray for God to grant him a way to be rich. So, God taught him how to make gold out of sand. Moses told him that all this treasure is from God, but Korah denied that and claimed that all this gold is made by him only, which incurred God’s wrath and brought his eventual downfall. Egyptian authorities found many documents and relics that go back to that era and they are kept in the museum.

The way this palace built resembles the pyramids which is a very sophisticated methodology without cement or any other adhesive material.

Dear Christofers, was a very wealthy man, but wasn't a man of virtue! He was the antagonist of Moses and a friend of Pharoa.. he even defied God himself, which eventually brought his downfull.

How do you view Korah? As a man of virtue? A man who was opportunistic? A man who was an equal to Moses? How was he connected to the Pharoanic families?
