The 4 THINGS That SCARE People THE MOST
What Makes People SCARED?
A Scared BEYOND Scared
What are YOU scared of? What makes people scared? Why ARE people scared? Humans are scared of many and/or various things, there is no doubting that. Being scared is hardwired in the human brain and consciousness. If humankind was not scared in certain instances, it would be extinct as there were animals who were stronger and more dangerous than the former. Humans are scared animals. They are scared of things that are not understand. They furthermore are scared or fearful of things that are unknown.
People are scared of things and/or situations that are strange. Since they are unfamiliar with such things and/or situations, they can be very hesitant and/or wary towards them. The human mind is programmed to seek the easiest, less troublesome, and/or least resistant road. People, for the most part, do not want to seek the most troublesome, even mildly troublesome, road. They want to seek the easiest and least troublesome road possible. The majority of people's fears are based upon this wanting to avoid what is deemed to be uneasy.
People, with very few exceptions, are scared of one thing or another The percentage of people who are not scared of anything at all are a small percentage if that is true at all. Perhaps, such people are not being honest with themselves and are exhibiting a false bravado to cover up being scared. Yes, there are some people who are in deep denial of being scared of anything. They contend that mature and intelligent adults should not be scared of anything as being scared is in the purview of children and the emotionally and/or intellectually immature. Nevertheless, if one is human, then he/she is scared of something or someone.
Now, there are a few of us who have things that scare us the most or at least out of our natural wits. This is beyond scared. This thing or situation can make people morbidly scared. This type of visceral feeling in relation to being scared can be immobilizing emotionally, physically, psychically, and/or psychologically. This is scared multiplied by ten. This level of scared unhinges some people or in the least, unnerves them. This high scare level causes a type of dread, even panic.
There are things and/or situations which scare people THE MOST. Such can be a minor event and/or occurrence. It can also be a life altering event. One person can be intensely scared or something whereas another person is not scared at all. However, there are common things which scare people the most.
Death-VERY Terrifying, Even HORRIFYING to Some
Death is the main thing that scares people the most. Many people fear death the most because it is........unknown. Yes, death is the unknown adventure. Death is known as the grand mystery for many reasons. Death has been the subject of countless philosophical, religious, and/or spiritual questions. The main question that some people have is what exactly lies beyond death.
Many people are quite petrified of death because they feel that they were not the best people on this planet and they fear quite a tumultuous afterlife. Yes, there are some people who are strongly inculcated in negative religious ideology. They were brainwashed to believe that they were the worst imaginable people on this earth and there is little chance that they will be saved. Such people fear death the most because in their minds, they will be going to the Great Desolation according to their respective religious ideology.
To some people, death is the great separation of their loved ones. In their contention, when a loved one dies, he/she is gone forever, not only physically but in every which way. To them death means never ever seeing their loved ones again. They also contend that when they die, they will be no more to their loved ones. Their loved ones will never see them again.
There are people who have an intense, even phobic fear of death because it is the great void of nothingness. They assert that everything ceases after death-their minds, bodies, and basic essence. No they do not want to die because death is IT, the cessation of all types of existence. In other words, they simply cease to exist, physically and spiritually. They just disappear into the void and all traces of them are erased.
Death scares others the most because they are so busy enjoying and living their lives. They have everything they could possibly want. Life to them is a virtual heaven on Earth, what more can they want. They contend that nothing can possibly get better than this. They are scared of death because they believe that they will be leaving their gracious, gorgeous, and utterly fabulous lives behind. To them, life is too much fun and so delicious, why does death have to........BE.
Sadly, there are those who lead such grey lives who are most afraid of death because they did not develop into the people they intended and/or wanted to be. They were quite fearful and conventional people who were afraid to rock the familial and/or societal boat. They lived by others' rules and/or constructs instead of living their own individual lives. Now, they are morbidly scared of death because they really led half-lives instead of full lives. They discovered way too late that their lives were ......... simply wrong.
Hell, the SCARE-fest to Top All Scare-fests
Hell is the biggest scare-fest in all of history. Religious authorities use the premise of hell to make people conform to their particular religious ideology. What better way, in the eyes of such religious authorities, than to use hell as a way to get people to be on their very best behavior. It is a strong contention that if hell does not get people to go on the straight and narrow, nothing in this world and/or out of this world will.
What scares people more than death is.......H-E-L-L. Some people believe after they die, they will probably go to hell because they were less than perfect people on earth. Although the concept of hell is different for different people, the consensus is that hell is negative. In fact, hell is negativity of the most abject and abysmal kind. It is a negativity that is way beyond negativity. Hell is the diametric opposite to heaven. Heaven is seen to be the highest level of consciousness while hell is seen to be the lowest level of consciousness.
Hell horrifies some people because it is seen as the very worst prison ever. They feel that hell is a place of torture and/or other forms of cruel punishments. They maintain that such punishments are even worse than what is given in the worst penal institutions. They also view hell as beyond physically inendurable, it is beyond pure, unadulterated agony. There are those who are scared to death of hell because there will exist negativity and ugliness of the first order. They feel that they will be in darkness without even a glimmer of hope. There are others who fear going to hell because all essence of their existence will be destroyed forever as if they were never born.
Hell is a place that most people are scared of most and definitely do not want to go. Hell is one of the biggest fear and/or scare tactic ever used to get humankind into line. People would do anything to avoid hell, even living a fear-based life, believing that earthly life is a sinful, debased, and evil life. They contend that the only true life is a life cut off from this world. They adopt a schizoid approach to the world, divorcing from it unless it is absolutely necessary to interface with it. Yes, they see the world as a necessary evil and normal/natural human instincts to be utterly base, even sinful.
S-s-s-s-s-nakes-s-s-s-s, Oh My GOD
There is no animal in this world that creates such more dread and panic than a snake. Snakes have that loathsome a reputation among most people. This is an animal is the most reviled animal around. Why is that? Perhaps, this revolting reputation is based upon the mythological tempting by the snake of Adam and Eve. According to the Judeo-Christian Bible, the devil appeared as the snake to Adam and Eve.
Since the devil appeared in snake form, the subconscious human mind associated the snake with evil and dread. Besides from the religious connotations, snakes can be quite dangerous animals with the power to kill people and animals. The boa constrictor and python are the strongest of snakes. They are also the largest of snakes.
Pythons reach 28 ft.-32 ft. while boa constrictors reach 29 ft. Besides pythons and boa constrictors, the elapid family are the most dangerous snakes. The elapid family include tiger snakes, mambas, cobras, adders, kraits, coral snakes, and the taipan. These snakes kill people and animals through neurotoxic venom. Yes, many people are scared TO DEATH of snakes and rightly so. Snakes are indeed dangerous and life-threatening animals.
Besides being dangerous, snakes are also seen as strange animals. They are strange in appearance. They crawl instead of walk. They make hissing sounds that can be quite unnerving to many people. To many people, snakes are sneaky animals who can attack unaware. Snakes have such a reputation that there a saying a snake in the grass to connotate a person who is quite underhanded and/or backstabbing. Since snakes are seen as totally noisome animals, a person is also called a snake when he/she exhibits less than stellar characteristics and is totally disreputable, even reprehensible.
it's so D-D-DARK
(4) The Dark
Yes, there ARE people who are quite frightened of the dark. The dark, to some, has such a disreputable reputation. The dark is the opposite of light. Light is seen as positive and in the open while dark is seen as negative and quite undercover, even covert. Humankind has been taught that the dark is something to be..........F-E-A-R-E-D.
Darkness also represents mystery as it cannot be fathomable. The dark has hidden, even occult connotation. Some people are intensely scared of the dark because it is perceived that SOMETHING or SOMEONE is lurking about. The dark has the scariest connotations it means night which often has a nefarious reputation. People are quite fearful of the night because of its darkness. In less modern times, people were quite fearful of the night because robbers were freer to engage in their activities at night as they were less likely to be scrutinized. People were also fearful of demons and other malevolent supernatural entities.
It goes without saying that the main themes of horror movies are darkness and/or night. Producers know that this will create an authentically scary, even bloodcurdling ambiance. If the movie is not physically dark, it is psychologically dark. The result is to scare people to having sleepless nights or at least sleep with the lights on. Sub-genres of horror movies-monsters and supernatural movies purposely have dark, even demoniac themes. The dark is quite a scarily profitable business Hollywood and in worldwide cinemas. Dracula is the perennial DARK movie villain. What other character create chills and sleepless nights other than this Prince of the Night.
People are scared of the dark because it is dangerous for what is deemed natural and supernatural reasons. Many people are afraid to get robbed and/or worse while some people truly believe that nighttime is the time where devils and demons are in full swing. Some parents still warn their children if they are not good, the bogeyman or some other spooky entity will appear at midnight and get them. Also, many people feel more vulnerable in the dark, letting their imaginations get the best of them.
All of us are scared of something with little exceptions. Many of us have things that frighten, even terrify us. This is a level of scared beyond the usual level. This level of scared often causes quite a visceral response in the human psyche. The things that terrify us varies with each of us. However, there are some things which horrify us. These things include death, hell, snakes, and the dark. These things often frighten us to no end.
