Human Selfishness!

Updated on November 23, 2011

It's not a habit it's a disease!

We must must pay particular and undivided attention to those unnecessary feelings we sometimes selfishly choose to hold on to!

All humans possess the very same characteristics.

Sometimes it maybe much harder for some to display these characteristics.

But in most cases just by applying the necessary will and determination

To some of those nagging obstacles which usually stand in the way, will make it much easier to overcome those urges and sometimes even eliminates them all together.

Believe it or not we are definitely all created equal, but never the same or for the same purpose.

The only things that we are expected to do similar and without being ordered and pressed

Are that life giving, life is preserving and life saving prerequisites, that some humans practice to help cultivate and maintain a worthwhile balance and at the same time show help show a much needed human ethical progress, where that warm and welcoming display of true individual human spirit is usually shown.

To help encourage these different human characteristics.

In other words they are very an integral part to be played in this business of peaceful human existence, co-habitation and preservation.

In this present day and time we do not need to be bored with similarities

But rather intrigued by differences, a God given right in our choices of everything.

And why not?

Like Martin once said:

Be the best damn street cleaner you can be!

We are not all expected to be scientist, but some of us are expected to take out the trash...

Our human abilities are being developed and explored by leaps and bounds

it.

Each and every day of our lives and we must always invite and encourage these attributes.

But like with everything else in this life, there is that flip side it could easily also be

Even a dark side.

It is in these similarities that sometimes comes those differences that are hidden,

Concealed from everyone, sometimes even ourselves.

Here is where we find the excuses, the keys to certain failures.

The ones sounding like “if I had known" that impossible comfort therapy.

The could of, the would of and the should of.

All those useless and unnecessary adaptations we humans sometimes allow

To develop and fester within our lives, and in most cases becoming malignant and deadly,

Sadly most finds out long after it’s too late

Because our actions were voluntary.

Some of these dark sides that were allowed to grow and become hopelessly malignant

They are those same illicit characteristics like?

Selfishness and Greed, just to name a few, and because it usually takes a long time to show its evil head.

Also because most parents are fully aware of it's repercussions down the road of life

It’s usually discouraged from the very early stages, of it being visible.

But even then it's not usually totally rooted out, just discouraged.

So unlike some other negative behaviors that can be addressed and dismissed

Quickly and permanently.

These evil ones, like those I mentioned before, usually springs back up at a later time.

Whether or not it makes a full recovery, is dependent on the environment it's in and also the other characters and influence that are predominant at that stage.

When allowed to grow that selfishness usually turns into a quagmire of many different, but seemingly necessary evils that is sometimes unknown to the host.

Characters like Greed, Envy, Jealousy, and Insecurity.

We all possess all the same characteristics.

It's only that some are allowed to go unnoticeably and unchecked where they become malignant.

These are a few things I usually say too many of the folks that I call friends

And also to those that are called associates.

I am Greedy but I am also fully aware of where and to whom I will exercise

My human instinctive ness to be Greedy.

I am insecure but the person who will find it within their need to try and explore my insecurity

Must have a hell of a reason to do so.

I am Jealous,

But I am grown enough to understand that such actions are not good attributes to harbor

In any given situation, because it's always going to be proven to be Selfish.

What I am saying is that

When I was a child I acted kike a child and I had my ignorance to use

As the scapegoat to be able to say convincingly that the Devil made me do it.

But when I became a man,

I put away childish actions and things, to show the man in me and took full responsibility

For those actions I preformed.

I know for sure that unnecessary stress and useless bother only compounds those expected ailments

And changes that comes with age.

So why will I do that which will have unfavorable effects and cause me ill will.

We are all fully aware that misery needs company and when it doesn't get its need

It becomes even more miserable.

Because even though I understand that we are creatures of habit

I could not leave it there because I had this burning desire to define what exactly creatures of habit

Really means.

Again for some it's just that and for others it's a little harder to grasp.

For every wise man that exists on the face of this earth there are over one million wiser men. For every foolish man that exists there are at least one million more foolish men. Why is this so.? Well it's quite simple we are not all the same man at the same time.

It is quite easy to make this presumption. That the criminal always goes back to the scene of the crime. Why is that so?

I am extremely curious to hear your findings.

Let me go back to the creatures of habit thing one more time and yes we are, but my true findings are that most of those habits are not the ones adopted by us. It's the one instilled on us by others that are the most predominant. Let me give a simple example.

For me I govern and rule my everyday I really can't see how I can allow myself at this stage, even if I was in that identical; situation before I finally realized that

I am best for me.

Now I am a man. When I wake each morning the Essences of my being voluntarily

Gives Thanks!

This is followed by a conscious effort to not let anything spoil my day, not even Death,

And I will tell you why and that's where the creatures of habit come in dominated by others.

Whether we have to go to School , work , Play or Church once it's known by us in advance , whether or not we are sick, tired , angry or hungry, chances are that depending on the level of importance we put on that obligation or based on the level of importance we signed up for

We are most likely going.

Exactly my point we are creatures of habit but in most cases those habits are the ones that are instilled in or on us.

We must go to work we must go to school, we must go to the Doctor those are basically all those assignments that are pre-arranged and within protocol.

When given the chance to be totally in charge of our own ship,

Nine times out of ten we’re heading for the rocks and that is because of the truth

Behind creatures of habit.

Check this we are totally in control of our actions each and everyday that we wake to witness a new day. I know that we do not set out to have a bad day on purpose. Who wants to be the first to stand and say it just happened?

LUDICROUS!

You decided that a long time ago and at that moment you will die carrying it out.

That the exact reasons that they loved to hate people like Jesus, King, Mandela and even yours truly. Leaders can be born alright, and they literally are. But if not accepted, who will they lead? When in your life had you decided to be a Lying, Nagging, Doubtful, No good, and Ungrateful Good for Nothing insecure, jealous and selfish person?

When?

Here I am your mirror reflecting the identical picture I am seeing and because I am not carrying a big stick, because I am here to civilly work with you, because I don't carry a Gun, a Dog , a Snake or because I am not the Law. You are a creature of habit to me.

How sad!

You can take all those nasty selfish attitudes to me and somehow still say it's my fault. But let the doctor or you Boss or you Mother or Father the police or the Government tell you to run and your only question is how fast? I think that all these habits are nothing but a cry for help and you already have a preconceived notion as to how you want that attention from another. When you don't have it your way,

You Rebel!
