UFO Investigators Face Paranormal Deaths?

Source

If your little child is dreaming of becoming a UFO Investigator or scientific researcher, you might want to try to get him interested in some other type of scientific research. Apparently, this field is most likely going to drive them to suicide or end in a suspicious death.

According to Dictionary.com, paranormal is "beyond normal explanation."

There have been countless deaths and suspicious circumstances surrounding the deaths of UFO Investigators and associates of the field. Suicides, murders and in some cases these scientists have been afflicted with strange, rare and rapidly spreading cancers.

Is this mere coincidence? Could there be a personality type that is attracted to the study of UFO's or extraterrestrial life? Could the study of Victimology explain these occurrences?

Source

Coincidence or Government Conspiracy?

It is well known that the American Government has been involved in secret UFO investigations, research and cover ups. Speculators say that government officials fear the general public would be unable to cope with the truth about UFO's and extraterrestrial life. It is the belief of many that if the truth were known, chaos would ensue and then breakdown of civilization as we know it.

While it is difficult to dismiss the witnesses and sightings of so many believable accounts of UFO's it is equally as difficult to believe they do exist. When researchers, scientists and microbiologists begin to die mysterious deaths, it is difficult to dismiss as well.

Men In Black?

Do mysterious men dressed black clothing visit those who have had a close encounter with the third kind? There have been numerous reports of, possibly, transcendental men that visit people in the dark of the night to warn them never to speak of events they witnessed. Those who claim to have sighted UFO's or other strange phenomena often later were visited by these mystifying men.

In June, 1947 a fisherman and his son received a visit from the M.I.B. after spotting six hovering aircraft over a bay in Tacoma. These air crafts released some chemical that spilled and contacted his boat. It killed his dog, nearly killed him and his son and damaged the boat. The substance was tested and made a believer of some as it was a very mysterious chemical. He was warned to stop talking about the incident. This would kick off many visits to come for these men who sometimes posed as CIA Agents, U.S. Air Force or sometimes Secret Service Agents.

Two Norwalk, Connecticut school boys reported seeing a low flying aircraft they thought was a UFO in April, 1966. The following day a man who identified himself as an employee of a sketchy branch of government, so secret he couldn't tell the principal what agency he was with, questioned the two boys for at least three hours regarding the sighting.

Astrophysicist Morris K. Jessup is another enigma. Jessup was well known to be involved in UFO research. In 1956, Jessup began to receive letters from a man who identified himself as Carlos Allende. The secret letters told of secret naval experiments and invisible men. Ships that could disappear and UFO's. These letters were postmarked in Texas and Pennsylvania. The government employed a group to study these letters. Why?

Jessup launched his own investigation. He also was found dead of an apparent suicide in a park in Florida in the middle of a sunny day, in a high traffic area. A laundry hose had been affixed to the tail pipe and then piped back into the car.

Some say he did not commit suicide but was silenced by the M.I.B.

There are dozens of reports of these visits by these men and the message is always to either stop talking or stop investigating.

The Philadelphia Experiment

In October, 1943, a U. S. Naval Ship was supposedly part of an experiment with invisibility. The government conducted an experiment on a navy destroyer, the Eldridge. Albert Einstein is believed to have been part of this ghoulish experiment. The ship was reported to have disappeared with all crew members aboard. It was teleported approximately 300 miles away and then reappeared in Philadelphia.

The experiment was being conducted an effort to invent the best defense a warship could have - invisibility!

The experiment was semi successful. While the ship did disappear, the effects on the crew were horrific. Some crew members burst into flames or were welded to parts of the ship. Some later disappeared again with witnesses present. Almost half of the crew members had to be committed to an insane asylum for the rest of their lives. The deaths of the men that died were blamed on the war.

SDI - Star Wars - Marconi, Ltd.

Strategic Defense Initiative was a project that began in the early to mid 1980s in England. Apparently the government was working with nuclear x-ray lasers, weapons for space and ground level use. Top secret research was being done at Marconi, possibly in connection with the cold war and the Soviet Union. It was so secret in fact, some people speculate that when scientists found out exactly what they were working on, many of them were driven to suicide.

At least 30 people that were involved with the Star Wars project have met strange, untimely deaths.

The first death is believed to be that of Dr. Keith Bowden. He died in a car accident on his way home from a social function in London. Bowden, a computer scientist, was connected by having worked for a "major Star Wars contractor." His Rover reportedly crossed four lanes of traffic and took a nose dive off a cliff. Officials reported that he had been driving too fast and that his blood alcohol level was over the legal limit. His wife and friends that were with him that evening refuted this, saying he had not been drinking. His death was ruled an accident which was believable until his associates began to die by the dozens.

Roger Hill, employed as a designer at Marconi, Ltd. died of a shotgun blast, allegedly self inflicted in 1985.

November, 1985, Jonathan Walsh, 29, digital communications expert employed by the parent company of Marconi expressed fear for his life. A few days later he was found dead after taking a fall off his hotel balcony. Did he accidentally fall, possibly jump? Or was he pushed? The case is still unresolved.

A 24 year old electronics graduate employed at Marconi was found under the Clifton Suspension Bridge, but did he fall or was he pushed? Family and friends say he was not depressed.

On October 28, 1986, Ashaad Sharif, computer analyst at Marconi drove to Bristol, tied a rope around a tree and then his neck, got back into the car and drove off, killing himself by decapitation. Family and friends say that he was not depressed and had no reason to be in Bristol.

In August of 1988, Peter Ferry, who was a marketing director at Marconi, was found with electrical leads in his mouth, shocked to death.

Alistair Beckham was also found dead with electric leads placed on his body. Someone apparently also stuffed a handkerchief in his mouth. Beckham was connected to Marconi by being employed as an engineer at Plessey Defense Systems.

The deaths seemed to stop after 1988 when the project ended. Is is possible that these people knew too much? Is it possible that someone wanted to silece the people associated with the project? I find it difficult to believe that so many suicidal persons (or clumsy?) could all be connected by Marconi.

Philip Schneider

Do UFO Investigators Know too Much?

It is hard to dismiss so many fascinating and mysterious circumstances surrounding UFO Investigators and scientists involved with top secret research with regard to extraterrestrial life.

Philip Schneider, a former military official for 17 years with one of the highest security clearance levels in the government is hard to ignore. Is he insane or were there 13 attempts on his life? His account of a fire fight between himself and "grey alien beings" is unbelievable until he raises his hand and shows you the missing fingers that were burned off by something. Schneider was found stangled with his own catheter.

Ron Rummel died by suicide - a gun shot wound, but left no fingerprints on his gun.

Dr. James McDonald, senior physicist at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics also involved in UFO research attempted to commit suicide in 1971 by a gun shot wound to the head. He did not die. Some time later he managed to transport himself in a wheelchair to a pawn shop where he supposedly bought another gun and then drove himself to the desert and shot himself again, successfully.

Documents were released that prove that 10 days before Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated he had demanded the records regarding UFO research from the CIA. Conspiracy theorists say this is the reason he was assassinated.

With a death count into the hundreds and rising, it is obvious that being a UFO Investigator is one of the most deadly jobs on earth. Is it a mere strange web of coincidences, does it defy 'normal' or is it possible that sometimes you can learn too much for your own good?

Hi kumar24894 - I can't believe that so many stories are faked.

I do believe in something...I truly think that if the government opened all it's files and let the general public pour through it - we would be shocked!

Thank you for reading, voting and sharing:)

Hiya, Kelly! My father was a radar technician in the US Air Force stationed at Elmendorf AFB. I distinctly remember him coming home on several occasions looking a little "concerned" for lack of a better word. Years later, when I asked him about those moments, he told me that there were times when things would go a little crazy because things would appear on the radar going incredible speeds. When they scrambled the jets, they either couldn't catch up, or lost them.

This was during the cold war with Russia and the military in Alaska was on high alert because the "bears" liked to test our technology and boundaries. What bothered dad was the non-Russian visitors. He was usually pretty tight-lipped about those experiences, but I could tell that it tested his beliefs and understanding of the universe.

Great hub, very interesting and I loved it! :) VUM!

As always, conspiracy theories are a heated topic and one that will always spark controversy. I thought your article well put together and, while it did not change my opinion on the paranormal, it was interesting to read. You might consider posting the remainder of the television program covering the Philadelphia Experiment as it is revealing. Thanks for the hub.

Hi Terrye - wow! Are you serious? That is crazy! I do feel sorry for the men who were involved in such stressful times in the service. I would love to know all the facts but if I couldn't discuss it with anyone it would be so hard!

Wow - I'm fascinated by this stuff! And a radar tech?! I bet he was confused about the things he had seen! The research was really involved with radar and lasers and things like that. I can just imagine them taking notes and shaking their heads...like what was that?!

Thanks I had a hard time cutting this down...so I just linked the articles that had more juicy facts!

Hey Lela - remind me that when we are in Mexico!

I just see too many strange stories and people that are highly educated and have strong standings in the public - I do not believe they are just fabricating these stories. There are too many coincidences but hey - don't mind me! I am just a housewife - no investigations going on here! LOL

Excellent hub, very well researched and written. You know, Einstein was actually involved with a lot of secret government projects.

That's a massive coincidence about chemicals being spilled into the sea in June 1947, a month before Roswell! Colonel Corso (The Day After Roswell) claimed before his death that the aliens had been tampering with Earth's resources and mutilating our cattle.

Reagan's SDI was actually protection against the extraterrestrial threat using their own technology against them, technology which had been recovered and reverse engineered from Roswell - technology that did not possess, also coincidentally, before 1947.

Excellent Hubpage.

There is such an abundance of information about secret endeavors, and the sheer number of 'suspicious' deaths seems pretty conclusive proof that there are huge secrets kept from the public.

But the public? They really don't want to know about these things. It goes against their version of reality which is a creation of their own comfort-zone. Nothing is allowed into that comfort zone.

This propensity for denial-to-protect-their-comfort-zone is what allows these secrets to keep themselves. The keepers of these secrets only have to do 5% of the effort to keep secrets, the remaining 95% is done by the public themselves, to protect themselves from being afraid.

And the news media! You will never see these topics being covered without the story wrapping-up with a snide joke from the weatherman or sports guy. The anchor then says, of course he doesn't believe this stuff! There's laughter and it's all portrayed as a joke.

I'm glad you mentioned Phil Schneider. At his speeches he always said he'd never commit suicide and his family agreed he wasn't the type. And even though he had a gun and enough pain killers due to a medical condition to kill himself, the official story is that he strangled himself with a rubber tube. And apparently he put up quite the struggle... with himself... as his room was trashed. Phil Schneider's Youtube video (the long one) is incredible.

Hi Window Pain - love the hub name btw:)

Thank you so much for the great comment! I was planning to just do a short hub and point out a few oddities but once I started reading I couldn't stop. So many weird things and so much information that totally proves the government was up to their eyeballs in odd experiments. I didn't even touch on the strange drug experiments that took place during the 40's as well. Some of that was talked about and connected to perhaps, strange suicides.

Isn't Phil Schneider something?! I mean I just dont' know what to make of him...he is obviously highly educated and super smart. He had 17 years of service with secuirty clearance levels almost no one else had. He does not sound like a crack pot or a liar. He sounds like he truly believes what he is saying. His injuries? How do they explain that? And I have heard other accounts witnesses who said they did see those bodies being taken away from that fight? Very hard to dismiss as complete nonsense.

Hey moonlake - I believe you. There are just too many people who claim to have seen them. Now I don't know if these are man made? I do not think I believe there are aliens living beneath the earth in pods or anything but there is something going on.

I would LOVE to see one myself! That would be so cool - and I have seen some strange stuff in the sky. I live near a very small and private airport in Chesterfield, MO....it's in a very seculuded area. I often meet my sister near there to pick up her son and I have been seeing a whole lot of strange helicopters landing lately. Black ones and like five of them, one after the other. Could be anything but it always reminds me that who knows?

Alaska - that is another very, very strange set of stories and people that swear the MIB visited them and told them to be silent. And wasn't there a little girl that disappeared and they never found her?

Thanks a lot!

Hi sparkster - thank you so much! I did a ton of research for this one...not really intending to. It was so interesting though and when I began the writing - I kept getting stumped with questions of my own so back to the books! lol I could have gone on forever it was so interesting.

And Right! the Roswell incident - I read "Fire in the Sky" and it was very good. All the cattle mutilations and crop circles too? I just do not see how someone could create such art and not leave evidence or witnesses behind to explain that. Someone would be dying to tell if they know how that happened...they would be a millionaire if they could explain that stuff!

Fascinating stuff isn't it? The 1940s were a really busy time for scientific research and everyone knows our country pours billions and billions of dollars into ridiculous research so why not?

I can tell you that dad and the other guys in the shop (we were all a close family, I grew up with the other guys' kids and are still friends with almost all of them) would only talk about that stuff when we all went camping together and really late at night - other kids got ghost stories, we got UFO stories. LOL I have been fascinated with UFOs because of that.

The few times I got to visit dad at work, we would go into the radar room (after passing the 3 security checks) with all the HUGE lighted panels (like you see in the movies) and get to watch the jets practice maneuvers. In the corner was an industrial sized blender. I asked what it was for and dad said that's where they "filed" the reports. It looked like a pink smoothie from the 'hot sheets' that they added water to and blended so no one could read them anymore. :) The benefits of growing up in a military family. :)

Cool Terrye!

I have quite a few family members in the service. One Uncle disappeared for like 40 years? My grandmother's only brother...she begged the people at the social security office to help her find him and they did forward a letter to him. He was thrilled and was reunited with the whole family.

The things he told us were very interesting. He ended up in Russia developing some kind of micro chip and he had a Russian guy that was his partner. Someone did threaten them and told his buddy to give them whatever this thing was and he said "over my dead body" and they killed him! Uncle Dick scrammed and didn't tell us anything much else....and I sat there on the other side of the table hearing these things. I did not disbelieve a word he was saying. He had no reason to make such things up! And he was in the service until he retired...so? IDK?!

Yeah - I love that stuff too! And everyone knows the government has covered up so much stuff and honestly who could blame them? I couldn't imagine getting the whole world to agree to spend billions of dollars making ships disappear! lol

Interesting. Thanks for putting this together! I think there's a lot of nonsense out there, but there are some strange occurrences, like the Phoenix Lights, for sure. Ronald Reagan tried to write something about extraterrestrials into one of his speaches but his staff insisted he take it out.

RealHousewife 4 years ago from St. Louis, MO Author

HI Natashalh - thank you! I really enjoyed reading about all this stuff. I have a book about conspiracy theories and all of these things are talked about in that book as well.

Ronald Reagan did a lot of interesting things during his time in office. I bet he tips the scale as far as interesting times to serve as President:) Jimmy Carter also filled out a report about seeing UFO's....and John Glen also reported seeing strange blinking lights like "fireflies"....there are some very credible people that admit these things so I can't say it's just myths and lies or hoaxes.

RealHousewife profile image

Yeah seems like parlor tricks when you compare the two. I am positive the government really does believe some of the stuff they do is necessary but priorities. The public is thinking "me, me, me" what can you do for me? People in the position of power must constantly be thinking "the whole world...what am I gonna do about the entire worlds problems?" It is so easy to be narrow minded and not realize some of this stuff may help our children in the future so gotta keep up with the nuclear power plants across the world? Lasers? National Defense? It's another catch 22 I guess.

Amazing research. My long comment got deleted by some MIB. Was thinking, we are not really alone in the Universe at all. Obama has already been briefed and cannot make decisions on his own. Was remembering and said... if that Apollo11 was shot at Universal Studios back in 1969, they must've borrow the technology from Star Trek. Some day we will shake hands with E.T ....so we can send him home (phone home!) . Just kinda confused, if it was JFK or RFK on the MAILonline link. Or were both asking for information about the paranormal, 10 days before their death?

P.S. Do not open your door to salesmen in black suit from now on!

"The public is thinking "me, me, me" what can you do for me? People in the position of power must constantly be thinking "the whole world...what am I gonna do about the entire worlds problems?"

Maybe it's just where I live, but to me that statement is the wrong way round, and is in fact the problem with our world. People in power are so consumed with self-interest that they offer very little to the folks who elected them. Lie, cheat, manipulate the truth, cover up that which they deem 'harmful', and massage the shit out of whatever little they do share. So to me the term UFO just means Unilaterally Fucked Over. Who'd be a scientist/truth teller in that environment?

Great article though, RH. (As usual....)

Actually paranormal means beside normal. Like paramilitary means beside military. Like parallel means beside the line. Ultra normal means beyond normal like ultra book means beyond book. It is too strange to be total coincidence, isn't it? I just do believe the government likes to cover their tracks. If I go missing - you all know who to look toward! LOL

Hi HousebuyersUS - I think you might be right. I suppose earthings have a huge ego and we think we ARE the only center piece. I wonder how long it will take us to realize it isn't all about us! lol

Thank you so much for reading and commenting!

Great hub!

The format, information and facts were too good. Moreover, it was highly intriguing and compelling!

Coming to your topic, I believe that the general public has never been aware of the 'facts'. Whether they belong to Aliens or our financial policies; the government officials always hide these things from the public. Though, in a way, it is a good method to avoid panic and chaos.

Regarding the aliens, we do not know any real thing about their existence. Maybe, they have a Hubpages type website over there as well, writing and reading about "Dude, do you really believe in humans?!" :P

Humans are quite narcissistic. They tend to think of themselves as the only important species, even on their own planet. The Bible says man has dominion over the earth. I think that was a typo. It should have said stewardship or responsibility instead of dominion. But because of that word, humans, especially Judeo-Christians, feel they have the right to do whatever they like, including killing off other species, destroying natural resources and making the air and water quite filthy. If buffalo ruled the earth, do you think they'd shoot humans near to extinction? No. Buffalo know their place in this world. They eat and they are eaten. That is the life of an earthling. And make no mistake, humans are NOT the only earthlings on this planet.

Very interesting hub Kelly. It all sounds like something out of the X Files!

My husband (who has done some astronomy) reckons that many of the objects that people think are UFOs are actually natural phenomena. Of course that doesn't explain them all. While it's pretty hard to believe we are alone in the Universe, I also find it hard to believe that beings advanced enough to come here would then hang about for 50 - 60 years before launching an attack if they intended to - so if there are UFOs flying about I don't think we are in any danger from them.

The danger, as your research suggests, seems to be more from some people, possibly authorities, who are up to something they don't want public. Watch your back! :-)

Dannytaylor02 profile image

Dannytaylor02 4 years ago from United Kingdom, Liverpool

Let's say other life forms did exist and that they where more advanced than us....the laws of physics dictate how fast you can travel in space and I'm afraid it would take thousands of years for their ships to reach us and that is from the closest planet that could potentially have life on it so unless these guys are immortal I'm pretty sure we are safe.

Oh and let's hope you don't meet an untimely death also for informing us about this!

RealHousewife profile image

RealHousewife 4 years ago from St. Louis, MO Author

Ha! jellygator - I know. It took forever to write this because it just got weirder and weirder! I must have spent about 20 hours of research time on this one....good thing too because I found a lot of contradictory stuff on the web. I found a list of "50 names of researchers that died investigating UFO's"....so I started checking the names - I don't think one of them was related! Yeah they were people who died - but had nothing to do with this topic. For example - one person was listed - William McGuire....he is the guy that was found in suitcases in the water. His wife is doing time in jail for that - nothing to do with abductions, aliens or anything other than a criminal investigation! lol So yeah - lots of junk but tons of interesting stuff that is factual.

Scary!

RealHousewife profile image

RealHousewife 4 years ago from St. Louis, MO Author

Hi Melovy - thank you!

Yeah I am sitting in the middle on this one. I think there are many things that get misconstrued but I am so hoping one day to find out the truth about such things. It is so interesting...but I mean if there really WERE I just think with all the smart and genius people in this world - they would be able to offer proof. Clear proof. So I am not willing to say I am a total non-believer - but I wish we knew the plain truth about this stuff.

I do think the deaths are related to people who knew too much for someone else's comfort! Now who is that?

LOL

RealHousewife profile image

RealHousewife 4 years ago from St. Louis, MO Author

Yeah Dannytaylor - good point! It really stretches my imagination to think about what is out THERE! Thinking in terms of other planets and galaxies....I would just not be surprised by anything. I happen to live in "the show me state"...LOL People are real big on that here - it is so common to be in a large group and hear someone say "oh yeah? Show me." hahaha

I know - I been trying to plant little messages here so that the govt knows I am done with my research! haha Last night I was reading about hackers and how easy it is for someone to commandere your computer and if you have skype??? haha They can snap a photo every thirty seconds of your pretty little face! Weird - I am gonna put tape over my skype lens now:) LOL

RealHousewife profile image

Hi gorgeous Qudsia!!!

I know - isn't that a real crime? I mean killing a person because they know too much? Wow! I hate to think that is possible but I do believe it is. Sorry to say! I wondered like, could they have ingested something by accident that made them suicidal? Or is it a personality type that is drawn to this sort of subject that is prone to depression? IDK? Just seems like a death rate that is out of this world! haha

Thanks so much!!!

I believe in aliens. My Great Grandmother used to tell me how they would see strange lights in the sky in Troy, Missouri from the 1960s to the mid 1970s. The cows would be found dead on their property and they looked like they had been dissected. There were some other strange stories that she had told me as well. I also believe that there are a lot of nuts out there that make up stories as well. Probably for every 500 sightings, maybe 10 of them are true. Thanks for the Hub. here is your Up!

The Natives called the area where they lived Snowhill. Their property backed up to the Quiver River state park. If you went past their turn off on the road you would go to the Appaloosa Ranch. Unfortunately they sold the farm a few years before I was born. I was at my Great-Great Aunt's funeral earlier this year. She was my Great Grandmother's sister. After the funeral I had asked her son, my Uncle Frank, about the stories that I was told. He gave me a weird look and said " I do not know about Aliens, for sure, but a lot of strange things happened at that farm. I remember all of us coming home one day and the inside of the farmhouse was lit up like a Christmas tree. We figured someone must have gotten home before us. When we walked into the house the lights were all off, no one was home, and when we touched the light bulbs they were all cold to the touch". Frank is a real straight character. He is a businessman living in Chicago and he isn't one for jokes or b.s. Listening to him confirmed the stories that my Great Grandmother had told me.

Wow! I am gonna start paying more attention:) Cuiver River has a little place where you can put a boat in near me. That is wild..I will have to see what I can dig up. I am really good at searching the public records here in MO so who knows! Maybe I will find something interesting? There are a lot of people around here who say they believe in that stuff and I know that there are goups of people that have logged some strange sites but I can't remember the concrete details of it.

I wish we knew everything the government knows - or heck I would at least like a nice tour of Area 51! lol

RealHousewife profile image

RealHousewife 4 years ago from St. Louis, MO Author

Hey jainismus - thank you! Yeah not everyone does and I can totally respect that. I think we all have different experiences that shape or opinons. Say - someone has a mom who swears they saw one - we tend to believe our parents without fail. But - if I had parents who swore it was nonsense - I'd probably be leaning that way. Then maybe you see something you think is a UFO - and since no one can show me any definite proof either way - my mind is wide open! lol

It's weird how many unmarked graves are found on prison (state) grounds. Not saying there is a connection, but who knows?

There was an Austin reporter who was nosing around the Texas prison system and he was visited by men in black too. Coincidence? Hmmmm...

George Greene Jr. profile image

George Greene Jr. 4 years ago from California PA

When I joined the Air Force in 1979, part of our basic training was about what to do if you spot a UFO. the answer was plain and simple . REPORT IT TO YOUR COMMANDING OFFICERAND THEN FORGET YOU EVER SAW IT! Well, I eventually did see two sightings of UFO's after I left the service (one was documented on Amazing stories as my friends and I were not the only ones to see the new Years Eve sightings In Latrobe PA) and the other my friends didn't believe as I was the only one looking in that direction(that 2nd UFO looked nothing like I ever seen before and would be hard to describe except maybe as a klingon ship coming out of it cloaking device bot more irregular shaped and pulsating in shades of purple ,green and yellow).

I am a believer of aliens that are more advanced than we are. why we are not as advanced is a rather strange thing. why do we have all this technology and theories and have not put them to use in space exploration of our own?

Makes one wonder !

RealHousewife profile image

RealHousewife 4 years ago from St. Louis, MO Author

Hi George Green Jr! Are you serious? Report it then forget it? I totally believe it - and it is what it seems like then huh? Wow!

Thanks for ushc an interesting comment! My husband says we are totally narcissistic to think we are the only beings in the world with intelligence. I wish we knew what was out there besides us - so cool!

George Greene Jr. profile image

George Greene Jr. 4 years ago from California PA

Let's not forget that Star Trek had inventions we actually use today! laser guns are a reality(though still not exactly as powerful to kill, they are used in medicine!.) and the hand held communicator with the tv in it? (HELLO SMARTPHONE!!!)

the aliens in AREA 51 had to have taught us that stuff!

George Greene Jr. profile image

George Greene Jr. 4 years ago from California PA

I also think the government is so naïve as to how we would react to finding out that aliens exist. In today's society, we would probably welcome them with open arms as they would bring new technology and possible cures for all our diseases. I also believe if they were a sinister enough race to try a takeover, we have our survival instincts so we would persevere quite nicely. Sure they could set us back to the dark ages for a few years but we now have the rsources to look up all the files somewhere on how to rebuild.

Why have we not become Aliens ourselves is another question I would like to explore. We certainly have the technology, I am sure. Is the government to concerned about the money? is the government being held back by people who are ignorant to the idea? Or is it the government is being held captive by aliens among us?

Just some points to ponder!

RealHousewife profile image

RealHousewife 4 years ago from St. Louis, MO Author

I so wish someone would invent a cloaking device for me! You got any heads up on that? LOL

RealHousewife profile image

RealHousewife 4 years ago from St. Louis, MO Author

Hey George - do you agree - we would be aliens to a planet outside our own:) lol.

Did you see that video where the guy says aliens are working with the government - side by side! Now it's a little far fetched! I really wouldn't be surprised by anything!

George Greene Jr. profile image

George Greene Jr. 4 years ago from California PA

the stealth bomber! it has a radar blocking device!

As for the aliens working for the government, i would not find it farfetched! Area 51 being such a controversy, who can really tell what the government is hiding? or other governments as well?.

One can never tell these days when its hard to get a birth certificate for a sitting president or tax records on his opponent.Just what secrets are out ther we may never know in our lifetime.Who shot Kennedy will probably never be resolved until anyone alive at the time is dead and gone.

I see that cattle mutilations have been mentioned in the comments but no-one has yet mentioned the unsolved human mutilation phenomena which also coincides with this topic. That's some very scary stuff and the images are disturbing. The 1994 Brazil incident is particularly nasty.

Remains unexplained to this day and many people are put off investigating the subject for obvious reasons.

well Sparkster, I sometimes wonder if some of these cults that seem to have mass suicides and weird cultures aren't from some alien force! Look at Jim Jones and Waco! There are 2 instances that makes one wonder how people become so stupid to fall for these guys. And don't even get me started on Scientology!!

chrisinhawaii 4 years ago

Great. So much for getting some sleep tonight =) Fascinating hub, Kelly! I had a psychology teacher in college who told us about a UFO he and his friend saw come up out of a lake or the ocean...I forget. And then it just seemed to shrink in on itself and disappear.

He wasn't a weirdo or anything. It's so easy to dismiss these stories when the people telling them are total kooks, but when the people are normal, balanced, and rational? That's a lot harder to overlook.

RealHousewife profile image

RealHousewife 4 years ago from St. Louis, MO Author

I am with ya Geoge....I have researched the Waco thing, that is just plumb crazy. How do these weirdos get so many people to buy their crap? I don't get that! Except many of these cult like things take advantage of vulnerable people and that is so sad!

RealHousewife profile image

Right chrisinhawaii! I so agree. It is easy to sit back in my Midwest farm area and assume the people over yonder who keep seein' lights are crazy.
