Talcum is a mineral, which we get by mining of talc rocks which is crushed, dried and milled. However,here we provide the information that the products most widely used and that pose the most serious health risks to us are the body powders Talc form the main ingredient in baby powder, medicated powders, perfumed powders.Just because talc is resistant to moisture, it is used by the pharmaceutical industry to make medications and is also a basic subtance used for some antacids. Talc forms the main ingredient of home and garden pesticides and flea and tick powders. Talc is also used in petty quantities in deodorants, chalk, crayons, textiles, soap, insulating materials, paints, asphalt filler, paper, and in various food processing.

Talc is initially related to the carcinogen asbestos. Talc particles seemed to have shown to cause tumors in the ovaries and lungs in cancer victims. Researchers have minutely scrutinized the talc particles and detected dangerous similarities to asbestos. taking this finding into consideration in the FDA took a resolution that they would recommend a check on the amount of asbestos kind of fibers in cosmetic grade talc to be limited. It is very Clear that with or without asbestos type fibers, cosmetic type talcum powder seems to be carcinogen which is really harmful to us.
Talc is toxic definately as they cause tumors in ovaries and lungs of human being . A number of scientific studies have proven a strong link between frequent use of talc in the female genital area lead to ovarian cancer. Talc particles pass through the reproductive system and imbed on the lining of the ovary. Scientific Research show that talcum particles were present in the ovarian tumors of the women who had ovarian cancer just because they used more of the talcum powder in their genital area than any other healthy women.Talc also leads to the health risk when exposed to our lungs.Miners suffer respiratory illnesses from exposure to industrial grade talc, as it carries dangerous silica and asbestosCerta.At home children hazard are posed by talc inhalation many children and infants die every year due to inhailation of talcum powder .many children play carom by sprinkling talcum powder on the carom boad fot make the tablets run smoothly and end up messing with talc and ultimately bring a lot of harm to themselves and ending up with respiratory problems unknowingly .

Talc is also used on infants as it absorbs unpleasant moisture on the body of the baby . But parents should be aware that dusting the infant's body with talcum powder endangers an baby's lungs due to inhalation of the powder. Exposing babies to carcinogen is unnecessary and dangerous on the whole.

precautions:---Stop purchasing or using stuffs that contain talc.Especially women must not apply talcum powder to underwear or sanitary pads or in thigh pits and area near the genitals.Try your best not to apply talcum to your children as a mark of precaution .we love our kids and would never think of bringing harm to them .It's worth changing children's clothes when they sweat rather than sprinkling talcumpowder on their body
