Earth

 

When the next Dark Energy PowerStation opens in the New Year, it will facilitate the closure of the last nuclear plant. The Galactic Green Movement has been petitioning for the closure of all nuclear plants, since their founding 300 years ago.

 

Sirius System

 

The Confederation of Sirius Planets are once again petitioning, the Earth Galactic Government [EGG], for more aid. They claim that ever since colonization started outside of our Galaxy, they have seen a decline in tourism and a drop in the prices of their natural resources.

 

Andromeda

 

The Andromedans today announced they will be evacuating their current solar system in the next year. The Andromedans, reptilians with ravenous appetites have devoured all sea life in their solar system. They have had to move four times before in their history, however because of their ever increasing population, this will be their second move in the last 500 years.

 

Travel

 

100 people are missing after an unexplained incident on the Earth to Andromeda wormhole. The Universal Wormhole Company [UWC] spokesperson said they do not know what went wrong at this time. However, they are confident that the passengers are still alive, wherever they are, as all their shuttles carry survival air and rations for 30 days. They do not yet know when the wormhole will be safe for further travel. They apologize for any inconvenience and ask passengers, wishing to go to Andromeda, to please use the wormhole via Sirius till further notice.

 

Sport

 

Soccer-Manchester United won the Earth League and will be competing in the Inter Stellar Shield competition.

Rocket Racing- the Marlboro Team driver, Atlas Ferdinand, won this years’ “Round the Solar System” race. He achieved a new lap record and is said to of maintained an average speed of .9 light speeds.

 

Health- Aphrodite, the “Gay” planet in the Orion system, report more confirmed cases of One Sided Chromosome Disease [OSCD]. They have asked all planets to step up research in finding a cure. So far no cases have been reported anywhere else in the Universe.
