WyoTech Long Beach, CA Campus
Studying Automotive Technology at WyoTech's Long Beach, California Location
WyoTech, a technical school focusing primarily on automotive technology and collision repair and refinishing, has expanded from its original location in Laramie, Wyoming to open up schools from coast to coast. One of the newer locations is WyoTech Long Beach. This Southern California trade school has a larger variety of job-based training programs than the typical WyoTech location.
The Long Beach, California campus has the standard Automotive Technology course. But it also has the following construction-related job courses: Electrician, Electrical Technology, Industrial Electrical Technology, HVAC and Plumbing Technology. Finally, WyoTech Long Beach has one of the few Medical Assistant training courses offered by this national organization.
Note: Those interested in automotive technology should note that some WyoTech courses also have Diesel Technology and Collision Refinishing Technology courses. As of February 2011, these courses are not offered at the Long Beach, CA campus. Check the other campuses (Sacramento, for example) if you are interested in "majoring" in the diesel or auto-body repair and refinishing specialties.
The Long Beach facility also does not have as many specialties within the Automotive Technology program. It has Applied Service Management as the only specialty as of the time of this writing.
On the other hand, WyoTech Long Beach offers the other trade-based courses (especially the Medical Assistant program) that are not usually found at other campuses. Thus, when deciding whether you should enroll at this WyoTech location, you need to consider your career goals.
Once you have decided to try to enroll at WyoTech Long Beach, CA, you will want to inquire about financial aid to cover your WyoTech tuition. This can be done using the following contact information:

Once you have your finances in order, you need to worry about housing if you are moving in from a different area to attend WyoTech. In Long Beach, there is a Student Services Department that can help you. There is no campus or school-sponsored housing, but a multitude of area apartments and homes can be rented for your stay in California.
