Do you think a person's astrological sign has any influence on their personality?

I do personally, but this is because I am identical to my sign.  I am a Pisces, and it could not be more accurate.  I know several other people that their signs match their identity, but I know some other people that don't fit it at all.  So I think a certain percentage of signs do play off of personality.

No, because otherwise everyone born under the same sign would have similar personalities... that is just not true.  Additionally, I just happen not to believe in astrology anyway. So that probably influences my answer.

I just find it an odd belief that a planet at a very long distance from us could have any influence on people's personalities etc.  I would look closer to home for things which influence people's personalities.

Your signs dictates some attributes to the person you could be, that doesn't necessarily mean you need to be like that. But I do think I match my sign. It all relates to the time and the place in the universe you were born in....

Yes, it does but not wholly; we can not say, those ones under the same astrological sign will have similar personality. Because, one's personality is influenced by many aspects, and one of the aspect is their  zodiac.

No, those sayings are just something  someone made up to sell books  or  papers  or what ever they are printed in. Like a lot of other things they are in it only for the money.

I think this theory is hardly truth, because I've met many people born in my same astrological sign..and trust me, I've never met people more different than me in my life smile

I think, it does have an influence, but only if the people themselves strongly believe it. It's kind of a self fulfiling prophesy.

I don't think that it has a direct influence at all.  In fact, it seems to imply an arrogant interpretation of proportion.  The truth is that the universe atomizes our existence, which is at once beautiful and humbling.  It is beautiful without needing to relate to us.

You'll find all different types of people born in every different month and even day. I have no doubt that if this were looked at neurologically we find different of brain activity and hormonal distribution.

Perhaps knowing your sign could influence how you act, but that's not a direct result of their actual sign.  It is a result of their believing something about the sign and themselves.

Mine's probably the least fun answer though, for a lot of people.

I think as we grow we become "influenced" by how the people under a respective sign should behave, like Libras are supposed to be fair, see all sides of an argument and dislike conflict.

Nope.  Although I will have to write another hub to provide the support for my position, if nobody else has yet.

They just guide to us. We still have the freewill so use it.

    Yes ,
But other rules of astrology also applies on a personality...
Its a kind of mixture of colors.

No. The positions of the stars and planets on our birthday have nothing to do with personality.

However, I do think birth month could have an influence. The amount of sunlight and time outdoors in the early months of life may affect personality later in life. And it determines how old you will be - and thus how emotionally mature - when you start school. But these are just coincidental to one's sign.
