   My favourite teacher is a very funny man, with great sense of humor, almost everybody loves him, hecan just make you laugh about anything, even the worst thing you can ever imagine. I love him.

   Compassion is certainly one prominent characteristic of one of my favorite elementary teachers. She wanted all of her students to feel as though they belonged regardless of their ability.
   
   A favorite junior high teacher had a high tolerance for the noisiness and excitement of bright minds firing off.

   Supportive, patient, and willing to give a little extra time to help the kids in their class. My favorite teacher had a way of making everyone in class feel important.

   Patient, enthusiastic, energetic, supportive, had a sense of humor, and willing to help stragglers. My favorite teacher, was strangely philosophical at times for an IT, electronics, and computer science teacher. His words effect me the most from all my teachers, in my time in High School. I still reflect back to some of the things he said, and apply it to all aspects of my life.
   
   And sometimes, he'd create an incentive. Shoot to do well in his courses, so he'd create a free day where everyone can bring in their PC/console to play video games all afternoon.
   
   Similar to my favorite teacher, there were two others with the same qualities. My graphic arts teacher and drama teacher. Which were also favorites, but they were only my teachers briefly.
   
   Runner ups would be the English teachers I had in my final year. Which had most of those qualities. The history teacher was kinda cool too, in Grade 11. Very funny at times.
   
   One of the Math teachers was amusing. She treated her job kinda like a Late Night talk show host. Talking to random students during class time in the room. Making jokes.

   Those who were willing to listen and added a fun element to lessons.  The stand out teacher for me was my Year 12 economics teacher.  When asked the hard questions she would give examples that were relevant to our daily lives.  She encouraged the class to ask questions and engage in discussion, rather than sit and read from a text book.  This style of teaching was not the norm in 1973.

   In high school I had two favorite teachers, both women. One was my English teacher and one was my chorus teacher. Both were stern and meant business, but were never overly harsh or unfair to any of their students.
   
   They were both humorous, understanding, caring, and trustworthy.

   I liked teachers who knew their subject well but didn't pretend they knew everything. I loved teachers who could tell a good story to illuminate a point they were making. I was inspired by teachers who were passionate in their lessons but I was suspicious of teachers who lacked authenticity and seemed lacking in spontaneity. I respected a teacher who could control a class without being angry or sarcastic. If a teacher could share a joke or tell us something that was funny in their private life (not too private) it was always a bonus. I also liked an educator who was comfortable talking to you in the halls in an informal way.
