Have you heard of PEMDAS? Wheat does PEMDAS mean to you?
PEMDAS is a commonly used acronym that helps students learn the order of operations. The letters stand for the following:
Parenthesis
Exponents
Multiplication and Division
Addition and Subtraction.
This means that when simplifying a mathematical expression, the student must simply the contents of any parenthesis first, and then the student must perform any given exponentiation.
Next, the student must perform any multiplication or division as indicated (ALWAYS from left to right).
Finally, addition and subtraction must be performed, again, always left to right.
It should be noted that any expression contained in parenthesis acts sort of like its own expression, and follows the rules of PEMDAS, the same way the bigger expression does.

Recently I discovered that in most of my hubs where I had...

The parentheses were removed by HP editing and replaced with a dash. Why?example: My Dog Was Hit by a Car (So What Happens Next?)was replaced by My Dog...

Do you put the punctuation inside the parenthesis or outside when you end your sentence? The reason I ask is that it appears to apply differently with many people. I was always taught to put it inside. People have told me that in England it is done this way. Others have said it belongs...

Do the titles of your article tell the reader what is in it, but do not encourage a reader to click to read more? In the past I have read that titles should be simple but it now appears that titles should tell the reader what is in the article but also have some catchy words. Google will point the...

I just googled my name with parenthesis to see if all my featured articles show up on the pages they list. Most of them do not, probably 5 or 6 out of 25 are within the pages. Does that mean that they haven't been indexed? I'm not sure what that even means.
